The food was good but the rest of the experience was so bad it really made it hard to enjoy. We were seated pretty fast, the restaurant was about half empty. It took about 25mins until the waiter came to take our order, I ordered a drink and a few appetizers. The restaurant is really cramped, I would recommend sitting outside because those are the only human sized tables. The inner tables have around 2" of space for your legs and stools on the other side. My cocktail was pretty watered down, although I enjoyed it. That all was whatever, the wait time for our food was about 70-80 minutes to get our appetizers. The appetizer we ordered was a salad. It seems like this was a common experience for everyone. People who came in before us only seemed to just be getting their food. It took another 20-30m for our mains to come out. The wait time wouldn't be horrible but the seating was so uncomfortable it was actually physically painful. The salad was delicious, the goat cheese and tangerine made it a great dish. The "pizzette" was alright. Lukewarm (it was sitting a while?), although I was so hungry after 70mins of waiting I wolfed it down. My steak was (pictured below) way overdone. I ordered medium rare but got a completely black steak. It was alright-- it wasn't super tough but the Chimichurri sauce was super watery and gave the steak a soggy one-dimensional taste. Overall, I would recommend this place as a bar to grab a drink with a friend. I absolutely would not recommend this place if you're hungry or want to eat a full meal.

Absolutely thankful this spot opened up. This is my favorite place in the neighborhood. The food is delicious. I’m a huge fan of the shrimp ceviche and the yapingacho. Those are my go to. I also love the cheese and burrata plates and the macho happy hour pizzette. The couscous salad is so refreshing that my husband tries to replicate this at home. I don’t eat meat, but friends say wonderful things about the chicharrón. And the desserts are divine. The tres leche is my favorite. The drinks are superb. I was hesitant to try these cocktails since I really love tequila and whiskey and don’t really try cocktails without them. But Felix’s creativity proved my bias very wrong. Each drink I’ve tried is so well balanced. And the wine list is great. I enjoy that there is always something new to try. My favorite part of this place is the atmosphere. The owner has truly cultivated a welcoming environment. The staffing is top notch.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while— especially because I like supporting local restaurants. My expectations weren’t high because most places in Dyckman aren’t out of this world, but I must say, Fito is PHENOMENAL. I love the cozy environment and excellent service provided by Steven— but most of all I love the quality of the food and drinks. I had the pork belly tacos, amazing! And let me not even talk about the chinola tres leches! I think I had an out of body experience— for lack of better words. Please don’t hesitate to try this place. I can’t wait to eat my way through the menu.

We went here on Mothers Day. The food was delicious. We made a reservation @530 for Mothers Day and sat immediately. BUT…. It took 2.5 hours to get our entrees, 1.25 hours to get our apps. The table next to us had the same problem. A couple who entered after us came, ate apps and entrees, and left before us. Server blames this delay on three different things three different times: “Kitchen lost your ticket” (no they did not) “We only have two people in the kitchen and they’re doing the best they can…it’s Mothers Day love”(the you should limit your menu so they can keep up, or have more people in the kitchen; don’t make this my fault you didn’t plan on a holiday - I still shouldn’t be waiting over 2 hours for food in any circumstance; and DONT THROW YOUR CREW UNDER THE BUS) “We are bringing your nachos then the rest of The entrees in ten minutes” (which is then 20; they did offer free drinks at this point but we weren’t drinkers like that. We also consistently asked for a manager and did not get one until the third ask) Nothing was comped until we threatened to leave at around the 2 hours fifteen min mark. Then the two entrees, and only the entrees were comped, and there was no offer of anything free or a check in before then.

Risotto, salmon, and empanadas were all great. Nachos were $20 but had no meat on them despite saying they did, plus it was sour cream sauce and some light cheese, so they were tasty but an overcharge @$20. Rather have spent it on something else. $10 for Pelligrino is WILD and you will not know until that bill hits! Bottle costs your restaurant $1-2 and my beer is $8! How the heck is the Pelligrino $10!

Probably better when it’s not busy but some low hanging fruit to fix for sure. We will try again because we live close…but not...

I made 5pm reservations. I arrived early (4:40pm to be exact) and as I sat waiting for my party. My menu was taken for me at 5:13pm without an explanation. I can understand that you maybe “short” on menus. It was only 30 minutes or so into my arrival and there were (counted) 10 tables empty. This was either their way of saying you are not welcomed or simply an act of unprofessionalism. In any event It set for an unpleasant first time experience. When I brought it to the attention of a very nice waiter who quickly apologized and agreed that it was a lack of etiquette on their behalf. My party arrived and I had agreed on giving this place a chance. Things went well, drink were good and the flat bread pizza was pretty good as well. The waiter who pulled my menu was then very accommodating (not sure if the other waiter had words with him) and the evening ended well. I will for sure return but heres a little point incase the folks at Fito read this… never pull someone's menu without an explanation as to why. My party could have been in the rest room, out putting more money in the meter for parking… etc… when you pull a menu as such, it can be interpreted as “get up, your done… you’re not welcomed”.

Side note: we ended up staying 6hours and tipped far more than those who never had their...
