I was working here hired by Cesar. At first it was ok until I told them I needed a raise for working the closing shift because most of the things they had me doing was not in my training course and I would get off late everytime. That’s not the end of it, the guy on the nightshift wasn’t anybodies manager and acted like everyone’s manager so when I bring this up to the gm they ignored what I was telling them so I went to hr also ignored me.…. Another incident I was being harassed by an Uber employee picking up food … the gm treated me as if I was in the wrong for going to the back while the guy was calling me names. Long story short … they fired me through text message didn’t even call me. I was being harassed and discriminated by the assistant gm also the gm to the point I had to carry an audio recorder … don’t work at this place employees have it very bad they get yelled at by the managers and all… they was mad at me because I would let them know that you can’t speak to me like that I have dignity even if I work at 5 guys mind you I shouldn’t have been fired for the reason they gave me absenteeism when I was literally at the hospital till this day I have my doctors note becasue they said I needed one the day before I was supposed to return I received a text saying I should talk to hr but hr has nothing to do with hiring or firing … messed up they told me this couldn’t even fire me the professional manner … management act like a bunch of circus clowns … always having inappropriate conversations in front...
Read moreGot a cheeseburger an fries and it was pretty tasty. They also give you a good amount of food but it is still somewhat expensive. The place wasn't very clean either and there was food scattered all over the counter I ate at. Along with that, there was a plate of peanut shells in front of me while I was eating. The environment wasn't great and I think you are better off taking the food and eating at Bryant Park. When I was ordering my food the cashier wasn't too friendly either. It was my first time at Five Guys and I was unprepared when they asked about the toppings. I paused for a moment before responding hesitantly: "everything I guess". Not sure if it was my tone, but the cashier seem irritated and rudely told me that I was being asked because they don't know what I would want on my burger. That interaction ruined the rest of my experience there. I quickly finished my food and got out. I wasn't expecting the best customer service since I know its a fast food joint but I certainly wasn't expecting the treatment I got for the price I was paying for the food. If you've never had Five Guys, I think you should check it out at least once. Otherwise, I don't think this location warrants another visit. The food is too expensive and there's nothing great about the physical location or the...
Read morePopular place for tourists. Expect to wait 5-10 minutes to order and ~10 minutes for your food to be ready. The burger felt a little smaller than what I usually get at Five Guys and the Cajun fried were a bit limp and unevenly seasoned but had a nice kick to it. Usually I get the little cheeseburger but I decided to go with the little hamburger to save $1.50 on a slice of cheese. Note sure if it was worth the trade off because the burger tasted pretty bland, but this is also my first time trying out this location so I don’t know if that’s because of the missing cheese. The little hamburger and little Cajun fries were $15+ after taxes, so if you have time you’d probably get pizza, a sandwich, Asian food, or a salad at a nearby place (within 5 minutes walking) for the same price. My biggest complaint is that the of free peanuts is tiny and stuck in the corner by the cash register. Would be nice to have more available. And I took my bag of food + ketchup and vinegar to the Hudson River to eat while watching the sunset. There are tables at the riverside if you just go straight westward to the riverside on W 42nd St. It’s like a 10...
