Flaming Grill — Restaurant in New York

My review for this place is long overdue. I’ve been here twice — once with my husband and second time with our friends because we remember liking the place so much.

First off, I want to mention that the chicken is hand slaughtered zabihah halal and the owner will show you the certificate if you ask. This is an incredible find because most halal stores don’t have that. Another unique thing about this place is its menu. Most halal places serve fried chicken, burgers, gyro or Mediterranean food. I almost have never seen a halal establishment that has healthy options that actually taste good and are customizable. They have excellent salads in addition to their customizable pasta bar, sandwiches, soups, rotisserie, wings, brisket, etc. They also have a separate drinks menu and a wide range of sodas such as Boylans and Hal’s. They really have it all.

What made this place even more memorable is the customer service. The owner is genuinely so friendly and accommodating. For the two times I was there, I never had to actually throw away my food fully (it’s more of a self serve place). For both times, the owner was near the trash or I was about to get up and throw it away but he took it upon himself to do it. Moreover, we asked him for a place to pray and he offered his office. We talked to him for a bit and had a lovely conversation. He even gave us some free chocolates. He is such a sweet man who is hardworking and dedicated.

As for the food, I am literally so impressed every time. I’m pretty picky about my food but everything hits the spot. We’ve had the chipotle chicken wrap, teriyaki wings, half chicken, crispy chipotle chicken salad, chicken parm sandwich, chicken noodle soup, and spicy chicken and waffles. My favorites were definitely the teriyaki wings, chicken Parmesan sandwich, and the chicken salad. Everything has great flavor and can’t see why anyone would ever be disappointed.

The place itself is pretty spacious too. The benches in the front are really nice to sit at. It’s a good casual place to eat with a good amount of people but also by yourself. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Amazing!!! What a hidden Gem. Amazing delicious halal healthy food. You get a variety of food items varying from customized salads (salad bar), customized pasta (pasta bar), and a variety of platters with delicious protein,veggies, and carb options

We ordered:

Rotestorrie chicken (comes with 2 sides) Salmon (comes with 3 sides) Beef brisket (comes with 3 sides)

Sides were: bean rice, roasted carrots,roasted potatoes, mixed grilled veggies, yams, mash potato,mac, and cheese

Roasted carrots were amazing!!! Beef brisket was soft and juicy. Salmon was delicious. It didn't have that stingy fish smell. Very well marinated and cooked to perfection. The rest of the sides were amazing, too. You might find their Rotestorrie chicken but bland, but they give you spicy Spanish sauce with it and a PC of pita bread.

We also ordered Pasta. My kids went crazy with adding different things in, so I can't really say which Pasta it was, but it was delicious. You choose your sauce, protein, pasta, veggies, cheese...

Interior is very pleasing. Whole restaurant was super clean. Staff sounded little unfriendly in beginning but as we started ordering after asking questions he was good. While we were there I saw couple of visitors just entering, browsing around and leaving, may be that's why he was bit off to answer our questions, but the overall experience was very good.
