This restaurant is entirely too pricey compared to other great restaurants in the surrounding area. As soon as I walked into the restaurant with my family, I was greeted by a arrogant and attitude inducing waiter. When we were all ready to order, the waiter grew tired of listening and taking our orders. Are we not supporting your pricey restaurant with small portions? Anyway, after our family finished eating the pricey appetizers, two of the people in our party received their entrees. The rest of us were waiting for our order that was just as simplistic as the others. Instead of having a short and simplistic dinner, we ended up eating in the restaurant for over and hour and a half towering over $120+. After we all finished eating our expensive plates, the waiter greeted us happily because of the money that will be flying into his pocket. Shortly after, our arrogant waiter came out to us trying to use unprofessional reverse psychology. He felt that his service was not good enough. He kept on insisting that I give a larger tip because supposedly there is a fake unofficial gratuity fee that he expects from people. I would like to mention that this is completely rude and unprofessional towards customers that are already paying $100+ for small portioned meals. And let me mention something else, do not ever force me into giving a larger tip, especially for someone who is arrogant and doesn’t want to do their job. Be humble and appreciative towards the tip because a tip is not mandatory. A tip is a result of how well you served and greeted the customers. Unfortunately you did not meet this expectation but we were still nice enough to give you the tip. With that said, I would not recommend this restaurant until the workers become humble enough to do what they applied for,...
Read moreI very was happy to find a restaurant with a good rating to have dinner tonight......... Not today at Forever Thai.
The food i ordered was curry shrimp with potatoes and a glass of wine. The shrimp was over cooked nearly impossible to chew , the potatoes was hard as rocks, uneatable and the Malbec wine had nearly a 1/3 glass full of wine residue at the bottom of the glass. Being a red wine lover for nearly 75 years, the waiter was trying to tell me this is the way the wine comes. When i reported my dissatisfaction with the manager, he said, nothing and he did nothing.....not even apologize for a horrible experience...
He gave my husband the bill who left a tip despite the service.
No one asked if they could offer me anything else. i requested yellow noodles to replace the hard potatoes and i was given flat white noodles. the waitress said they decided they could not provide the yellow noodles because it was needed for the chicken dishes. once i expressed dissatisfaction with the preparation of my meal, no one was speaking anymore English.
what should have been a pleasant night was a horrible one ,
For me never ever Forever Thai. Period.
Spend your money where people care that you have a good experience with them.
the management could not solve the problem in an English culture. they just wanted to collect the money. Lost a customer tonight for...
Read moreProbably one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Bushwick and Brooklyn in general. The ambience is really nice, I love the furniture with the intricate fabric on the chairs and the tree placed in the middle of the restaurant gives it a fresh touch (even though it’s not a real tree) but it truly contributes to a more natural and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has lots of windows so the lighting is just perfect in my opinion, specially during day time. The hostess is decently welcoming as well as the staff, you feel welcomed but for some reason you get the feeling that they want you out of the restaurant as soon as possible (this could be for business purposes). When it comes to food the pineapple fried rice is one of my favorite dishes, every time I go I order it, the combination of the sweet pineapple with different herbs and seasonings create an explosion of flavors that you don’t want to miss. The Chicken satay is perfect to share, very tasty and grilled properlly. The peanut butter salad IS INCREDIBLE! my favorite salad, the dressing is very rich but it does not get too overwhelming. When it comes to service, I would say it’s good, but again, I feel that they really want you out as soon as your done with your food, which I understand but there are ways to let people know in a more assertive way in my opinion because sometimes you want to take a brief moment after eating to continue with your day ahead. Other than that, I highly...
