So I came here after being away in Europe for a month and desperately needing a haircut for my first day at my new job. I figured I would give this shop a shot seeing how it’s walking distance from my apartment and my original barber was out sick. I wanted a natural look, not a line up and that’s exactly what I got - On top of that, I got my sides pushed back which was really aggravating. I usually don’t post reviews but I have to look at myself every day and it’s truly upsetting that I have to wait til my hair grows back to go to my original barber and have him clean me up. I’m not going to publicly blast the barber that this to me but I’m sure the owner will be able to tell after looking at the scheduler. The pictures posted are from today (three days after my haircut) so it’s starting to grow back little by little but it’s still very noticeable. The reason I’m giving the shop 2 stars and not 1 is cause the barber offered me a beer throughout my haircut... Talk about being self conscious for your first couple of weeks at your new job smh.

Getting a cut-throat shave was a cool experience that every man should have. Duval was a third generation barber and looked after dad !

The place has a cool ambiance, and Mike was really nice and thorough—he did a great job on my hair!

I've been coming to The Stepping Razor Barbershop for over 4 years now. I live across BK and have literally ridden my bike through the WORST rain storms just to get my haircut by Niamh! They are a thoughtful and meticulous barber that has a keen eye for even the tiniest of details. I always get so many compliments on my haircuts and was stopped by a hairstylist the other day to compliment me on how well my hair was cut to fit my face shape.

The space itself is always clean and the whole staff is engaging. The shop is a welcome space for queer people and folks of any identity or background. Haircuts are an intimate experience and this shop takes great care ensuring it's clients always feel comfortable and that their presence is appreciated.

Cannot recommend this place enough, come through for a great cut from an...

First time here i had to beg the barber to even out the buzz she spent 45min on... she argued the whole time, blamed my headshape, and made me vuncomfortable. It's literally a buzz. I did a more even job myself during lockdown. Dumb me tried again, and this time I didn't even make it to the chair. I didn't have time to wait 20min past my appt time for the barber to kill his vape and finish his chat before he was able to even acknowledge me. I rarely leave negative reviews but this spot is just...
