Fotia Mediterranean — Restaurant in New York

I was in the area for a Dr appointment and was craving a salad and Yelp helped me find this.

The space is cutely decorated with seating indoors for about 15 ppl. There is a counter style ordering. There is also space outdoor with about 4 tables that seats about 8-10.

I had the Gyro salad, on a bed of greens, grilled chicken, cucumbers, humus, avocados, cole slaw, tahini sauce and dressing. The guys at the counter were super sweet and patient. They were quit understanding as this was my first time and they made recommendations for what best complimented the items I chose in terms of flavors. Overall cost about $16.

They also had large cookies and pastries along with some house sodas.

If you’ve never had it, try it. It’s kind of like Cava or any one of those salad bars...

I absolutely loved this place! The food is delicious, and the portions are more than generous for the price. You really get your money’s worth, especially considering the area.

What stood out to me the most was the staff they’re super friendly and genuinely try to accommodate your preferences and make sure you leave happy with what you order. There’s one guy in particular who helped me .I’m not sure of his name, but he seems like he might be Jamaican or Caribbean. He’s always so kind and welcoming every time I go. You can tell he truly cares about the customer experience.
