Iâm so sorry I really want to give 5 stars overall however ,the last four times Iâve ordered from Frida. The food was just bland and tasteless. I was so disappointed!!! What pushed me to write this is for $20. They say itâs a large Birria quesadilla , Itâs everything but large, plus, the shell was oily. The meat was tasteless even with the sauce. Secondly, the birra bites are hardly worth the $15 I paid for it. I only ordered it because it said eight dollars on the menu yet when I went to pick it up it was $15 .The yuca was refried and sort of made into an oily patty â No Bueno, No me gusta â !!!. Itâs not the fresh yuca sticks with the braised beef on top which was also very tasteless. On the bright side this place is cute and quaint the employees are friendly and itâs nice to have in the neighborhood. Itâs very expensive for the little bit of food that they do give you especially from a Latin restaurant. As with everything these days it seems everyone wants the money and wants to give you nothing for it if you let them ! Furthermore, come on guys you can give guac when you say that the dish includes guac not a light purĂ©e. Thatâs just dabbed or drizzled over your meal !!! Hereâs a recipe for a good business good food , a good amount for a reasonable price . Feed them well and they will come time and time again !!! Plus have a special deal every day of the week , at least for lunch !!! Iâll never forget a couple weeks after you first opened your 3Taco entree went from $21-$24 in a matter of a few weeks $8 for a tiny little 2 bites taco. No bueno !!!!

Just as you mentioned we all work hard for our money so when itâs spent we want to be satisfied with what we get for it .You have a good business simply Listen to your customers to maximize your potential , especially those with similar reviews .There should be a sweet spot for both the patrons and the business owners .
The tone of your response to this review and some of the other customers reviews are not in good taste ,as this is not a Fight itâs simply a Review, plus no matter how good a business is thereâs always room for improvement !!!. Itâs disappointing that a business owner would respond in such a way .Iâm hoping this was just a bad day and that you have many better days ahead !!! Food: APPS: Tostoncitos..We had the chicken and shrimp. They were VERY well prepared, yet a little small for the price. They could either be a little bigger or another added to the serving. ENTREES: I had the fish tacos platter and bought the shrimp tacos platter to go for my mom. The tacos were quite big and filled with fish/shrimp. They were not stuffed with filler like most places. BOTH were EXCELLENT and worth the money (fyi... my mom and I are taco snobs. LOL). My friend had the Mofongo w/ shrimp. That plate was PACKED with shrimp and the butter garlic sauce was AMAZING despite the shrimp being a tad too salty for both of us. If that could be lessened it would be a PERFECT meal. So I would try it again if the the salt could be modified presuming it's made from scratch.
The Drinks: Now this is where I'm torn. There is NO HAPPY HOUR ON FRIDAYS!!! đđđ We did not know this but stayed anyway. The drinks were great. We had...Coconut Mojito/Passionfruit Margarita w/ Tajin rim/BlackBerry Mezcal Mojito w/ Tajin rim/Lychee Margarita/Guava Margarita w/ Tajin rim/Classic Margarita. But my BlackBerry Mezcal Mojito w/ Tajin rim. BAAAABYYYY...it was heaven poured in a glass. BUT it was also $25!!!! I'm not disappointed, but my drink costing more than my entree is a bit wild. So again, Happy Hour Fridays would be FABULOUS!!
Service: The staff was friendly, personable and very attentive without being overbearing.
Overall, we had a GREAT time and did not regret the final bill at all! The pros by far outweighed the cons. We will definitely be back... just not on a Friday so we can enjoy even more of their...
   Read moreI've visited Frida multiple times since its opening, with my child, ordered take out via apps/phone/in person countless times, with a group of 12 for work and with my fiancé. I am creature of habit so I order the same thing every time, but one time, the shrimp tacos with rice and beans. Sometimes the rice is seasoned, often times not. The tacos have a decent portion of shrimp and often seasoned well. My biggest issue is with the table side service which is inconsistent. On my most recent visit last night, close to closing(7:15 arrival, closed at 8pm), that was probably our worse experience. We were told the kitchen would be closing soon but we already knew what we were ordering as regulars. My fiancé's order was incorrect and our server was no where in sight. After eventually flagging her down we just took the corrected food to do because we noticed the staff cleaning up and wiping down all tables around us as we ate. We weren't checked in on at all during our visit and then to receive the check with 18% gratuity already included was shocking along with the charge of $10 for a mocktail and an uncharge for paying with my debit card. I guess this is the new norm since I had a working lunch by myself there a few months back around 1:30pm which no one else in the restaurant and was also charged 18% gratuity and had to flag down the wait staff for my water to be refilled. The music is often too loud to have any conversation without yelling and the wait staff have to lean in uncomfortably close to hear orders.
