Some hit dishes but some are a complete miss.
We visited Georgia Restaurant for a dinner in Feb 2025. The place is very small and cozy with a friendly quick service. Despite the excellent reviews, we however left with mixed feelings due to some dishes being absolutely delicious while others, unfortunately, being a total miss to be avoided (details below). All the food was very fresh and clearly was prepared while we were waiting. The portions are really generous if not huge. Definitely good for sharing.
We still recommend Georgia Restaurant, but be prepared for a hit or miss experience on different menu items.
Good Eggplant Rolls with Walnuts - awesome! Fresh, tasty, not oily, with a generous amount of walnuts filling. Baje - amazing! One of the best bajes we ever had. Fresh, thick, and overall delicious! It went great with the warm freshly baked bread. Khachapuri Adjaruli - excellent and also one of the best Adjarulis we ever had. Big, fresh, plenty of cheese and very tasty fully baked dough.
Bad Soup Kharcho - terrible. We had kharcho it many places and I periodically cook one myself. Never had anything like this. What we got here was just not kharcho. It was a soup with large amount of cubed meat, rice, and black pepper in a broth. Slightly over salted too. No kharcho specific ingredients like tkemali, cilantro, tomatoes, parsley, and the waiter/cook admitted it! The soup tasted like some canned soup. Unbelievable. Khinkali with Lamb - having tried Khinkali in many places our verdict for these is 3.5 out 5. The dough was too thick; the meat was a bit over salted, too dense, and lacking herbs for flavor; amount of broth inside could be more. Chakhokhbili - no good. Overcooked chicken, oily, really over salted, lacking flavor - tasting just salt and oil. Ostri (ordered on a prior visit) - this is a plain meat stew, huge portion. It tasted better than Chakhokhbili, but was also a bit over slated and lacking any distinct flavor. Just...

From the warm “your own kitchen-like” ambiance to the incredible food, this restaurant truly stands out. First and foremost, I have to commend the owner, Maya, for creating such a welcoming and authentic dining environment. Simple yet, sophisticated. The people who work here are pleasant, sweet and knowledgeable about all the dishes that are homemade. The dumplings are light, airy and flavorful. Its meant for dipping. Coming here feels like home, being greeted by mom and dad is the chef. Really a great local eatery that should thrive if given a chance.
