Now, the reason for my review. Last week I had a big order. I had a small tribe to feed. Wife picked it up, came home, the food was burnt! Burnt like some1 left my order in the oven for far too long or like a reheated burnt, like if it wasn't freshly made. Things happen. Sometimes you have rookie incompetent employees. I called spoke to Carlos, the owner or mngr (the game between him and his dad as far as who's the owner is ridiculous) went ahead and gave my complaint. I took pictures. He offered to replace the order right away or to accept credit on the full order. Wow that was a positive thing. I accepted the credit. I told him to write a note in my info in the computer, which every business has. He said no need to, he'll remember. Now, a week later, I call and place my order and remind them about my credit. I go to pick it up and then I get denied my credit. He said that he never said full credit. Carlos wasn't there, but his dad was. Got into an argument with the old man, his dad and I insisted him to get Carlos on the phone just to let his father know what was agreed on. Carlos betrayed me. He was the Judas to my Jesus. Telling me that he can't credit me. HOLY CRAP, did I get upset! Make it short I told him I was going to go on Google and give a bad review and post the pics, I didn't want to speak anymore and told him to figure it out with his dad on what I will be charged. I also said that this will be the last time I order from them or walk in to eat with my family. Outcome: he credited me the pie and the Sicilian slice, but not the beef patty, garlic knots or the 2 pepperoni slices. The old man's attitude was a basic, "I dont give a crap on how your food came out." What happened to good service? "I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. "You Broke My Heart" I've been coming to Gianni's since the 70s with my dad. This location has been through a few owners and kept the original name, but do no service to the original. Nothing will ever beat the original Gianni's. These owners now are decent, its not bad, but then again I'm limited to the amount of good local pizzerias in the neighborhood. Keep in mind real italian owned and operated pizzerias are becoming scarce. I usually find myself in the city like Prince St Pizza, Lombardi's etc... Guys if you want the neighborhood to love you, just do the...
Read moreThis was my favorite neighborhood pizzeria. My family and I would visit frequently but now that it's under new management its a completely different environment. My 8 year old son had to urinate badly so I took him there to use the bathroom. The familiar face of one of the employees who was sitting in the back table eating. I asked him if it was ok for my son to use the bathroom and he said sure and pointed to the bathroom. As soon as my son was done I exited. The older "gentleman" behind the counter says to me excuse me, you do not use the bathroom without asking or ordering something to eat. The bathroom is for customers only" I said oh im sorry but my son had an emergency and I did ask the employee in the back. He said, no, you should ask ME. I said I was preparing the dough and you seemed busy so I... He turns around and goes back to what he was doing. I was so embarrassed so I said, I've been coming here for close to 15 years... This the first time I was treated so badly. My son felt embarrassed for me and said I'm sorry mom I didn't leave a mess. He didn't have to be so rude, lets go. I believe the new management are in need of customer service training. I miss the inviting warm welcoming vibes the old...
Read moreThis place is a hit or miss. I haven't ordered from Gianni's in a long time because the last time I did my food was over an hour late and cold.
Tonight I finally decided to order from here again. BIG MISTAKE!!! First off, the food took an hour to arrive. Once it arrived we noticed they forgot the sauce for the wrap and our drinks. I called the restaurant and the guy behind the phone said "your sauce is courtesy, we don't have to give you one. And I will confirm on your drinks with my delivery guy because some people lie". Why would I call and waste my time to lie about missing drinks. Secondly, I've been ordering from this location for over 5 years and for the first time I receive no sauce and now you're telling me it's "courtesy"? So why did I received sauce for 5 years?
Anyway... They finally said they would send me the sauce and the drinks once the delivery guy returns. The delivery returns BUT ONLY WITH DRINKS. No sauce again! I ended up not eating my wrap since it was too dry. AND MY FRIES WERE SOGGY.
I AM NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN! Rude staff and food...
