Golden Chef — Restaurant in New York

Unfortunately I was never able to try their food regardless of the good ratings! I had terrible customer service which led to my husband canceling the food. I called for delivery chicken and broccoli (and a noodle soup) just to make the delivery quota requirements. The chicken and broccoli came with a drink and I said coke. However upon hanging up the phone I realized I had no water in the house and immediately called back to substitute the coke for a water. WELL I couldn’t believe what was told to me. One lady said no orders can be changed after 5 minutes, I was dumbfounded as I was not changing the food just the drink. She then proceeded to tell me she had to speak to the manager and then we got disconnected. I called back and spoke with another female who said the same thing about being unable to change the order after 5 minutes. I said I called immediately after I placed the order? She said I called at 7:08 and it was now 7:15pm. I told her the call ended at 7:12 after I finished placing my order and then realized how ridiculous I sound on the phone explaining the minutes of a phone call. My husband couldn’t believe what I was saying took the phone and canceled the order, his pregnant wife just wants a water ? Insane! I’m sad because I’m sure the food would have been great but service deff needs to be better and more considerate of...

So i usually don’t write reviews but i felt strongly about this one… I ordered food for delivery and let me tell you the food was absolutely delicious, its a great spot with very delicious food and the staff that’s in the restaurant seem very nice especially the two girls who attend and greet the people buying food when you go in person.

But…

THE DELIVERY DRIVER, Asian guy with a heavier build has the nastiest attitude I’ve ever dealt with by a delivery driver. First of all, he doesn’t even get out of the car… he stays in his car, calls you and tells you I’m outside and then hangs up the phone, not even giving you a chance to tell him hey ring the second doorbell or meet me in the front. So 3 times i ordered and the attitude got worst So i decided im going to opt out in giving a tip because i don’t enjoy his service. The time i didn’t give him a tip he started complaining why i didn’t give him a tip and basically sped off so aggressively because of course he stood in his car when he told me he was outside

Great restaurant food is tasty but that delivery driver sucks !!! I would be inclined to buy more if he wasn’t...

I've ordered here a few times now, the food has been great every time. Their bubble tea is delightful. So far, I've only had the mango and peach because I just love those flavors. The mango is very sweet, which I personally prefer, and the bubbles themselves are so chewy. The cups are also cute; they have a few different designs. Both the food and the drinks have been consistent between ordering in restaurant or delivery. Their orange chicken is wonderful, the flavor is on point, it comes with orange zest for extra tang, and the sauce is nice and thick. Just for a warning, it does come a bit spicy but it's nothing you'll need a drink for. The General Tso's tofu is my favorite. It's far from bland, keeps its structure even with the sauce, the broccoli is cooked well, and the portion is fulfilling. The only complaint I have about this dish is that sometimes there will be a lot more air and crust than actual tofu but that's been uncommon throughout the times that I've ordered. There are seats in the restaurant should you want to stay for a bit. Overall, great place to order from with...
