The quality of the dishes in this institution cannot be rated at 5, but they can safely claim to be 3. But the quality of service cannot even claim to be 1. The staff's knowledge of English is at level 1 on a 10-point scale. At the same time, they are outraged when you are not understood, as if they are native speakers and you do not speak English at all. They can't answer questions about the menu, and if you just ask what this dish will look like, they won't be able to answer, but they will include it in your order and assure you that you didn't just ask, but ordered it. Absolutely the worst Chinese food in my 20 years in NYC. I took a chance and it was a terrible decision. It was honestly slimy, undercooked, flavorless, and all around terrible. The only upside was that it was delivered quickly. Having said that, you could get something tastier from the garbage can on the corner, so that would equate to delivery even faster than their already speedy service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Also, when I called to complain, I was sent to "managers" with decreasing fluency in English (which is obviously a ploy to disregard complaints) so I wasted $50 and everything ended up in the trash can. What is going on? This has been my favorite Chinese place for 5+ years. I ordered my regular sesame tofu today and it was entirely different! The tofu had some weird breading on it that soaked up almost all the sauce. But it wasn’t even the regular sauce, not even the right color! It’s normally brown and delicious.
