TLDR: This place is shady and scammy!!! They will try to sneak miscellaneous charges onto your final bill.
My friend and I dined here for lunch and we paid $60 for two plates and a smoothie. After calculating charges, we realized that the food we ordered should have totaled to ~$48 so we went back to ask for an itemized receipt. On the receipt, we saw a service charge for $8 and another charge written in spanish for $5. We asked the server what these charges were and why they weren't made known to us at the beginning of our meal or when we paid. The manager (or owner?) explained the charge written in Spanish was a credit card fee and the other service charge was their 15% tip.
We planned to our server at the end of the meal, but we didn't appreciate that they chose the amount we should tip AND charged us a hefty fee for using a credit card without telling us! The manager ended up shoving us a $5 bill to refund the credit card fee and then snatched our receipt from us. We asked for it back and she said "you can either have the $5 or the receipt- you choose". We didn't think it was worth the fight for the receipt so we left, but she was SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!
I'm all about supporting local businesses here, but not when they're trying to sneakily steal from...

Food is great most of the times, but our most recent experience here will be our last. Food portions are usually small, but steak was over cooked and dry.
The lady serving us looked annoyed and like we were bothering her (I.e. when we asked for napkins, plates, etc). It was unpleasant, awkward, and we feel it was because we had kids with us. We shouldn’t feel like this eating out.
They had friends/relatives there that they much rather be with than tending to their customers as well.
I guess it doesn’t matter to them because there’s an automatic 18% service and tip fee. Btw - we spent $130+
Chorizo still the best I’ve ever had. Can’t say I’ll be back. I felt guilty even considering to write this review because it’s a mom and pop restaurant but felt compelled to let people (mostly families) know that it’s really not family or kid-friendly.
I’m sure it’s fine if it’s just adults. But we’re gonna drive further to La parrillada colombiana instead. But...
Read moreAmazing!!!! Came up as a spot for good Colombian food so checked this place out of curiosity (and reviews ;) and was very pleased. Staff, super nice and helpful. Like one of those Mom & Pop spots that's little and quaint AND serves really yummy food.
Ordered the Bandeja Paisa (I believe this is your traditional Colombian meat combination plate) - Chicarrón, steak, sausage arepa, avocado, egg, rice and sweet plantain: Very good (and filling. we shared this between the 2 of us).
However, what caught my eye, the Ball of Green Banana (Bola de Banana Verde)...my gosh, delicious! Chopped up green bananas that's rolled into a ball with pieces of crispy pork belly and cheese. By itself, good. Drizzle a little bit of their garlic lemony salsa on top...and you've got yourself a wonderful fiesta happening on your taste buds. If you're one for that Green Plantain flavor, green Banana is slightly different, but I believe this dish will not disappoint.
I'm coming back for more and...
