I went in for an AirPod case replacement recently. I was there before closing, with 10 minutes still on the clock and a few geniuses standing around, and not many other customers left, they refused to help me. The manger Alex said the process was complex and there were not enough time to do it. So I made an appointment for the next day. The next day I came on time. But they made me wait 35 min. When it got to my turn, the whole process took exactly 4min. So I asked to speak to Alex again and asked why she was unwilling to help customers? This time she said those geniuses had other customers to take care of (they did not). She lied to cover her laziness. She’s unfit for the job. Front facing employees should care about your customers. People like this should not be given a role to represent Apple or the team.

I bought my iPhone a few weeks ago from here and have since been back 3 times to buy accessories, take a workshop and check out an Apple Watch. Nice and friendly staff. Clean store... But go at off hours. If you go on the weekends or peak hours it's an absolute zoo with people and kids everywhere including unattended screaming infants!! (Flow and crowd control aren't things Apple does well apparently.) You are often stood waiting 20+ minutes just for a sales rep to come over so you can buy an iPhone/Apple Watch/iPad/Mac/etc. Apple needs another Brooklyn location so that this one isn't so overrun. (Might I suggest Downtown Bklyn, Bklyn Heights or Park Slope?) Otherwise, if you go at an off peak hour, it's a pleasant Apple experience with nice, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I ordered a laptop and started a return process. I specifically asked customer service if I can return it in store and by what date (see screenshot). Now at around 3pm on April 6, after traveling an hour to get to this store, they say it can only be returned by mail regardless of what the Apple rep told me. So now I’ll travel an hour back home and plan a trip to stand in line at the fedex store tomorrow. I don’t see why the store can’t honor what I was told, or just take the laptop and ship it back themselves. I called customer service and they said the store is allowed to make an exception and take the laptop, but the store won’t even discuss it. If a mistake was made on the initial customer rep’s fault, the store should try to honor/remedy it in any way they can.

The worst customer experiences to date at any Apple Store. Five-(5)separate times I had gone in and inquired about a product and the sales staff couldn’t answer any relevant questions . after 5 insane pathetic experiences I have to write a review because as an ex Mac Tech and a life long Mac professional user I found these experiences to be unacceptable. The last vist was insane. I needed a specific accessory and had to trouble shoot a dongle on the fully loaded MacBookPro I just picked up that seemed to have a problem which I knew could easily be tested and troubleshot quickly and easily. We needed to get into a house laptops Disk Utility and the sales idiot and I mean idiot, told me Apple doesn’t do that. I corrected this ignorant, inattentive and seemingly bored sales twerp that this isn’t true. I explained I was a MAC Tech for 5 years after I insisted twice that his ill informed knowledge of his own job was incorrect and to get me a Genius Bar person helped immediately. The two other sales people walked over and immediately unlocked the laptop and I got in to Disk Utility immediately and solved my own issue . This guy couldn’t be even bothered or was curious about what I was doing to broaden his knowledge base and learn how he could help another customer in the future. He was too busy looking at his iPhone. Ha! I told him he was in the wrong job. Let me be clear, if I would’ve listened to this clown, I wouldn’t have solved my issue and left and not made the purchase I needed to . Apple makes billions on their accessories but not from people like this or the next encounter. This might have been a inexpensive purchase but 2 days earlier I dropped $6.5 K on the MacBook Pro and $12.5K on the iMac Pro. w/full coverage on both. Then another sales person didn’t know the difference between a usb-A to usb-c and usb-A to Thunderbolt , said they would check in the back to see if they could get me one but kept talking to at least 3 other customer that walked into this section after I had engaged her. I finally went to a Tech I saw speaking to another employee and got what I needed. This all happened starting around 8:15 pm and the store was 1/3 full at best. This place is a phone and tablet and watch sales outlet, nothing more. This bad behavior was just the last straw in a series of bad experiences over the last 5 months with ignorant, nasty attitude filled employees who don’t know a damn thing about their own products and aren’t interested in knowing either. If these people were in my production company I would’ve fired them without pay the first day . This store, unfortunately is a pathetic excuse for any Real Apple Store. Looks like I have to only shop in Manhattan to get Apple service and professionalism. If I were the regional manager I would clear out this whole store from store Manager all the way down and hire motivated interested and trained-TRAINED, being the operative word here and put this place back on track

This is the worst Apple Store I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. If it was only 1 or 2 or even 3 visits I get it, people can be either off or just stupid, but I expect MUCH more from Apple because Steve Jobs gave us this and his vision was realized, but every visit ?? Now I have to only go to the stores in Manhattan, unfortunately my production facility is 5 blocks away. Never again. Pathetic employees, Pathetic. Cook has definitely driven this company into the toilet compared to what Jobs originally blessed us with. Their paid for phone support has gotten...

Darius was amazing! 5 STARS!!!!

I Went in to get a new phone on Aug 9th. It’s been many years since I’ve upgraded. Prior to going I was working with T-Mobile across the street but they didn’t have the phone I needed so they told me to try to get it in store. When I first went in a lovely young lady helped me and told me the steps I needed to take before trading it in. I have 40,000 photos on it and needed time to back up my data. It took a while but I finally got it done by leaving my phone alone overnight and for half a day. I then went to apple around 5 thinking it’ll be a quick trip.

I did the whole transaction with Darius who was extremely helpful. After doing the trade in and trying to reset my phones he realized that I never backed up my photos. This is 5 years of my son’s life and of my 3 month old daughter. After realizing that I was so distraught. The store was about to close and I haven’t been able to figure out how to sync all my photos. As we tried to come up with a plan , Darius, who was so patient and understanding and didn’t rush me, went to go speak to a manager to see if I can somehow figure what to do.

Manager : 0 STARS! The manager came over and as I was trying to explain my situation he stopped me and said “I know how syncing works” also kept meantion that my phone is now apple’s property. You would think I was getting a free phone the trade in was $200. In retrospect I should’ve never even tried to trade it but once I realized the past 5 years, my sons whole life, might be gone my brain turned to mush. The manager was extremely condescending. If I wasn’t so distraught I would’ve said something. This man was on an ego trip! I actually never had such a bad experience with anyone at apple. And I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. The manager wasn’t even helpful he just kept making remarks on how the phone is no longer mine. Darius being the great employee he is still tried to help me and spoke to his colleague , who was also very helpful he helped me figure out what IPad I should get since I also need a new one.

The colleague mentioned that I could just buy back the phone for $200 and take it home with me to finish the syncing and keep the same plan I made with T-Mobile. So that’s what we did. The manager even made a smart remark that if I do bring it back to not expect to get the money back right away. Again you would think we’re speaking of thousands of dollars here lol I just kept the phone as a back up baby monitor for when we have a sitter. Or travel. I still can’t believe I went through all that for $200 but being newly postpartum I could barely think straight. I’m grateful for Darius and his colleagues help! But the manager was on an ego trip and ruined the service. I thought it was nice to have an Apple Store in my neighborhood instead of having to go into the city. But I think I’ll stick to the SoHo or...

If I could leave a negative five stars, that would be my rating.

I purchased a custom built macbook pro from the apple website, maxing out the specifications on it for my video editing needs. The problem started with that model macbook having a defective gpu. The mac started skipping, choking on video footage, exports take hours instead of seconds now.

apple informed me it would have to be shipped back to apple, since the stores only carry base models, nothing near the build i have. which cost $6000. problem for me was, I physically could not part with the laptop for how many days because of work. Because of that, my apple care eventually ran out.

i finally had time to get the repair done, so i took it to apple Williamsburg. they ran a diagnostics, needed a new logic board, it was going to cost me $700. all i needed was a copy of the diagnostics report and a receipt, then i could submit this thru my gear insurance to have the repairs paid for. the tech promised he understood the situation and would email it to me. but did not. After wasting hours on the phone for days, I had to schedule another visit to the apple store. Meanwhile repeated attempts to get the report from apple were unsuccessful so my insurance won't cover it.

i took the macbook in, again. sat with the tech for over an hour describing the issue: the macbook needs a new gpu. the techs aren't testing the computer connected to external monitors to be able to diagnose what I already know. He promised me it would be taken care of, they were overnighting the laptop to the repair center.

I'll skip the part where the FedEx driver actually tried to steal the laptop rather than deliver it to me when apple shipped it back. Which was fast, they overnighted it back and forth.

I open the box, see the custom skin missing off my laptop. No reason that should've been removed since they were replacing the bottom piece and logic board, right? Wrong. Apple decided to just replace the display on my macbook without authorization. A display that worked just fine. this macbook is in pristine condition, it's been skinned from day one and sits closed in a macbook dock on my desk. I've barely ever even touched the keyboard. Not only did they make unauthorized repairs, but they captured my card 3 x's placing several thousand dollars on hold for over a week and a half.

My laptop was never repaired, I have to go back, again. I've now missed 14 days worth of editing work because of the incompetency of the techs at this store, which is now in excess of $10,000 in wages I've lost with no working computer, and no backup to work on. Unfortunately I'll just have to wait as I don't have any other options but the techs at this store, although polite, are utterly INCOMPETENT in helping resolve this matter. Absolutely unacceptable that a brand as large as Apple thinks this is how to treat long...
