This wasn’t a good experience. Was excited to get pieced by nurses but it did not live up to my hopes.

Transparency (lack of) & pricing: First issue is no one explained anything to us (my friend and I were both getting pierced) and the pricing isn’t clear and isn’t fair. It’s broken down a ton: $35 per piercing (ie if both lobes pierced thats $70) this doesn’t include the earrings so that’s an additional $59-250 per hole. After getting pierced they told us we had to come back in 30 days to have the post changed and that’s $25 more per hole so another $50 each…. We told her no one explained that to us and she said “oh they should’ve told you when you came in and they explained everything” but no one explained literally anything to us. They just told us to sit down and asked which earrings we wanted. And then they rang us up and I realized the aftercare she said she was including was $40… so that’s nuts. Overall it was $280 for two piercings, that’s like 4x what a certified piercing in Williamsburg charges (which is already high for the industry.) Basically it felt like when you order grub hub or buy a car and there are a billion add ons and sur charges. These are my 12th and 13th piercings and I have never paid that much before.

Cleanliness (lack of): Additionally one of the holes is now infected and I’ve never had that happen before. My suspicion is it’s because when she went to hold the earring up to check the placement before the piercing it fell and I don’t think she cleaned it before later inserting it into the hole, I didn’t think about it until the hole got infected. So overall I recommend going elsewhere unless you want to overspend on a subpar experience. I wish I read the lower reviews...

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! Go to Iris Studio right around the corner. I commuted from Coney Island to Williamsburg by public transportation on my day off because I read all the amazing reviews on this place. But I walked into a HUGE disappointment. I got there shortly after they opened today. There was just one staff member there. I told her that I wanted to change out my nose ring jewelry. She told me that they don't do nose piercings. Mind you I pointed to my already pierced nose. I explained again and she repeated that they don't do noses and doesn't have anything for the nose. Then recommended a tattoo shop near by. So she was willing to send business elsewhere. I was also looking to do a helix piercing but she made me not want to stay to do any business with them because I have a few piercings and know the same jewelry used for lobe and helix piercing are the same for the nose. So if she just didn't know how to change my nose piercing is one thing but don't say you guys don't that at a place that only do piercings. So I took my business 3 mins around the corner to IRIS STUDIO where all the staff was friendly, answered all my questions with a smile and I walked out with my new nose jewelry and my helix piercing. Go to Iris Studio and ask for Kaylen. They have a better...

They are new…but my experience was so bad it’s not excusable. I called a day before asking about making an appointment for my friend and I. We had evening plans so I wanted to make sure we had enough time for our piercings and was told over the phone that we’d both be done in 20 min. Made a 3pm apt and showed up on time. Was immediately told that one of the piercers had to go on break. How is this my problem? Book appointments around the schedules of your employees. Wasn’t told how long we’d have to wait but it ended up being 45 min and the whole process for the two of us took at least an hour when we got started. At no point did the front desk person apologize or offer to walk us through the process while we waited. It honesty was a mess. Wasn’t told this place is limited to lobe piercings only. When we finally got in the chair the piercer was great and thorough. Went to check out and the girl rang each of us up and missed some of our earrings we purchased. I was so furious I didn’t say anything. Again not my problem. What made me the most angry is that the iPad asked if I wanted to leave a tip and I didn’t realize until after the fact that I left a tip on my whole purchase, not just the piercing price.
