I want to start by clarifying that I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which means that I am often in crippling pain and all my joints dislocate. I'm also a dancer and am not kind to my body lol. Today I was barely able to walk. I get body work done often in order to....function normally.
they managed to fit me in even tho it was close to closing time and I didn't have an appointment . The owner genuinely seemed to care about my pain which is always touching. ❤️
. The women here (I've gone to many diffrent people) are all amazing and you can literally feel the healing magical energy coming out of their hands, and unlike most massage parlors, they actually feel around in there looking for knots and listen when you request a certain area. You can tell they all are experts in their craft.
Although I'm still a little messed up, I feel at least 70% better even tho I only had a 40 minute massage. (Which was only 45$!!!!! I told her they should charge more since they deserve it lol. )
They also offer Gua Sha, which I am looking forward to trying next time.
Anyway, I love this place. If you're looking for a place, this is it. ✨❤️ I hope they do discount packages because I want to go as often...
Read moreI’ve been a recurring customer here for over three years. While some masseuses are better than others, the experience has generally been decent for the price.
However, my most recent visit was very disappointing and actually harmful. I clearly explained at the beginning of the session that I had pain on the left side of my upper back and neck, and that my neck was completely stiff. Despite this, the masseuse used extremely strong pressure throughout the massage, especially with her elbows, even after I asked her five times to be more gentle.
A massage for someone in pain should be relieving—not aggravating. Unfortunately, the forceful technique worsened my condition. I woke up the next morning barely able to move. I now feel worse than before.
I called to explain the situation, hoping for understanding or at least an apology. Instead, the person I spoke to simply told me to call back the next day to “see how the situation evolves.” And they didn’t believe me they asked for a doctor note. This is not a respectful or appropriate response given the...
Read moreI love Chinese massage places, the kind that is painful but in a good way. I didn’t have an appointment and was happy that they were able to accommodate me. The staff was very nice. It is a no frills type of place, so not really a “spa”, but the type of place to go to if you want some pain relief at a very good price (especially for Williamsburg). The massage itself was unpleasant, but not in the way a Chinese massage should be. Typically, a good masseuse can find trigger points and that will be painful. In this case, it felt painful like the wrong points were being pressed and aggressively so. I felt like a ball of dough being kneaded by a very angry but also amateur baker. The masseuse was very nice though, and afterwards I did feel much better which I guess is what matters—I have a lot of back pain from carrying a newborn around and it definitely improved. That being said, I think there are...
