I bought this plate of food like 20 mins ago. I got the jerk chicken with rice and it comes with a little salad on the side. So good ! So fresh ! Chef Zay hooked it up on the line.
Doesn’t taste like Jamaican jerked chicken, I can’t explain the flavor but just so we’ll done for what it is. I love flavorful smoky chicken that doesn’t taste funny (like it wasn’t washed with lemon) it’s clean food! You’d be surprised now a days In regards to food freshness in some of these establishments . Not here ! Can’t wait to try the other options. I look forward to trying the traditional Chicken with lamb or maybe a jerk chicken salad. Lol I’m ranting I’m just happy this food was flavorful, tasty and fresh it’s literally all I ask for in a restaurant! Thank you all!
Also perhaps encourage your workers if someone is unsure of a flavor in a specific salad topping to offer to let them try it. There’s no reason why it should be a scary factor to have someone try a single chick pea in the sauce container y’all have. And there is absolutely no reason to reprimand your workers for customers being curious about the different toppings. I felt like I was going to get someone in trouble being curious about the taste of the chick peas smh. Many places allow sampling of the food. How else would one know what to choose from ingredients they may know but not how it’s prepared. Also based on the area , I would suggest a lunch special. The menu overall is affordable but there are many neighboring restaurants that have similar prices and lunch specials at half the price. Just food for...
Read moreThis was my first experience here at Halal Bros Grill on Church Ave. I came in at 10pm ordered my food and paid for it. I’m very patient, so I waited for my food to get ready. About 5 other customers came in after me. I noticed that 3 of the customers after me got served and I was still waiting. The guy at the front giving the the orders to the customers gave my order to the lady in front of me, but at this point I don’t want to assume. Again I waited patiently. Now it’s about 10:30pm no order. I then asked the guy at the front if my order was ready and showed him my two receipts, still nothing. Waited 15 mins more, then proceeded to the cashier to see what’s really going on here. I’m tired and hungry and ready to go home. Spoke with the lady at the cashier’s station she proceeded to to ask them about my order. It’s now 10:50pm, they began to make my order again. My salmon salad was done but my avocado fries they forgot to make. So, now I have to wait for those to be done. Mind you if I wasn’t so hungry I would’ve definitely asked for my money back. The worst first experience in my life. I left out of there at 11pm. Make this make sense. You all need a better system to get the order out and to the right customers. Very disappointed...
Read moreThe food is really good won’t and can’t lie about that. Customer service is great even though they need more people to work. My concern is food safety! Fryers doesn’t have a timer so how do you know if & when the food is FULLY cooked? HAZARD! The same oil is being used for everything (fries, chicken, fish, poppers, mozzarella sticks, ETC!) the toppings are old hands down! Most importantly the manager FRED doesn’t go by food safety standards! Dropping food containers that people (THE CUSTOMERS) eat from on the floor then picking them up to USE THEM IS DISGUSTING AND ALSO A HAZARD! Anything that touches the floor whether it’s in plastic or not suppose to be in the trash ESPECIALLY open food containers. Food goes inside and is served to people so for Fred to not throw it away hoping customers didn’t see him drop it and pick it up is not focusing on customers health. Worrying about food labor cost because HE accidentally dropped it doesn’t mean the customers has to pay the price. This store needs inspection in there to show them what a fast food restaurant suppose to be like For...
