First and foremost the decor of the location is great. Instead of carpet on the floor they have hardwood floors. The lighting and its hue is set beautifully. It gives a certain ambiance to the dining experience. Unfortunately that's where the praise ends.
Walking in the host was friendly and show me and my companion to a booth table. The waitress after a couple minutes of us being seated introduced herself. As we placed our order everything seemed fine. The only caveat was that they wasn't serving ice coffee. The waitress said that they don't serve ice coffee anymore, yet it was still on the menu. My companion ordered the Tropical Splasher. About 10 minutes go by and our drinks didn't even arrive. The food came out and my Pumpkin Spice Waffles weren't even warm. The friend chicken breast that came with it was okay. Nothing spectacular. It was seasoned well surprisingly.
A couple minutes after the food came out I caught the attention of the hostess who helped the guest adjacent to me and told her me and my companion didn't receive our drinks yet. The waitress instead of the hostess came back with the drinks and apologized. The Tropical Island splasher my companion got barely had any ice as if it was sitting out or prepared in a rush. I had a coffee. The sugar tray that I was given was mostly empty. I also didn't recieve any of those little cream cups that are given when you order coffee.
As me and my companion finished our meals the waitress took about 15-20 minutes to give us the check. My companion immediately put her card on the table. About 10-15 minutes passed and the waitress still didn't come for the check but passed us twice. I getting irritated walked over to the manager at the register and told her I wanted to pay. The waitress came processed the payment and gave me the receipts to sign. I signed at the table next to the register. Took my receipt and my card payment receipt.
Me and my companion was get our belongings when the waitress hurried over to us and accused me of keeping the signed card payment receipt. I told her that it was on the other table. I felt extremely angered and disrespected by the waitress.
I do not think this location is a good one. Hopefully another time I go and there's a different staff things...
Read moreHappened to be in this area and Google map took us to this IHOP. The place was pretty empty and we were seated quickly. My 15 yr old son ordered the Cali roasted bacon turkey melt sandwich. He took one bite and asked for something else. From the look of it, it didn’t look bad. The only difference from the photo was that the turkey meat was in chunks instead of in slices. I took a bite myself and the meat was as hard as a rock so that’s why he didn’t like it. When I ordered something else for him and told the waitress about the meat, she just said “oh” and didn’t bothered to ask if he wanted a replacement. My younger son had the Jr cupcake pancake combo with sausages and he enjoyed it. My coffee and omelette were decent. The white toasts with butter were actually pretty good. Anyhow, before I ordered I presented the waitress with a pancoin reward for a free kids meal. She even took a photo of the code and she forgot to put it in when she presented us with the bill. Thinking to myself, “No big deal we can still use it next time.” However, the main reason I gave 3 stars, it is not just because of the ‘hard rock’ turkey meat on the sandwich but the extra $3.19 that we were charged for a milk that we never ordered or received. Of course we didn’t notice this until after we paid. We still gave her a good tip because people still need to make a living. Wont be returning to this IHOP location any time soon. A little...
Read moreEver go to a place that you know is looking to die but just can't get the will up to take its own life? That is this location of the iHOP. Two eggs, sausage, toast, ONE hash brown, and coffee, SHOULD NOT BE $18.99. NO WAY THIS SHOULD BE THE PRICE, YET IF YOU GO TO THIS PLACE IT IS. Why would anyone go back to this place a second time when they were LITERALLY CHARGED THIS MUCH FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN GET FOR LESS THAN $6 ANYWHERE ELSE?
There is no discussion about ambience or service, the place was COMPLETELY EMPTY when I went and yet it still took the server 10 minutes to even acknowledge that I existed. Also, you're NEVER going to dine alone, the massive amount of flies in this place will always be your dining companions.
The coffee used to come in a pitcher, NOW you get a single use to-go coffee cup. The only thing they had in terms of creamers were French Vanilla creamers. When I asked for anything besides this I was told nothing was available. Even the milk I was finally given was 2% skim milk. Why is this place still in business? HOW is this place still in business?
The fact that they literally charge SO MUCH MONEY FOR BASIC ITEMS is beyond amazing.
$18.99 for ONE CUP OF COFFEE and ONE BASIC BREAKFAST??? This isn't the Ritz Carlton on 5th avenue in Manhattan. This is Church Avenue in Brooklyn. THERE IS NO REASON THEY CAN JUSTIFY THIS COST. NONE.
Do yourself a favor, DO...
