Literally what was even the point of them opening in this neighborhood?? When I heard we were getting a Target in this neighborhood I was so excited to spare myself trips to the Atlantic location. Too bad this store has been underwhelming and is not stocked enough to save me the subway fare. I don’t get why they did this only to carry barely anything in terms of the range and variety you’d expect from Target. What essentials they do have is locked up. Things as simple as toothpaste, baby wipes, and body wash (just to name a few) being locked up feels EXTREMELY racially motivated and makes me wonder why they would open here in the first place. What should be a quick trip ends up taking forever just going from aisle to aisle waiting for someone to come unlock what you’re shopping for. I wish for once this neighborhood could have a reliable store front that is run properly and doesn’t feel like the short end of the stick because these corporations know Black folk are involved.
Only 2 stars because the grocery section is useful for staples and quick pickups. Wouldn’t be shocked though if the next time I go in the eggs and milk are locked up too -_-
2024 Update: all previous complaints still stand. They’ve hired more staff, but that’s pretty useless when just about everyone is visibly stoned. I’m pro weed and all but time and place discernment is important. Now, it’s just a poorly operated store with far too many employees to justify what work is actually done. Any time of day there’s carts full of product clogging all the aisles and meandering employees also crowding said aisles. They’ll congregate in groups sometimes and have full blown ki ki’s and get annoyed when a customer says “excuse me” to get an item they’re blocking. Will be finding out soon how to contact corporate. Something needs to change and QUICK. This neighborhood deserves so...
Read moreLet me start off by saying ; I love me good target , I appreciate the convenience of having a target near me that I could pick up the small items I may need for my home , the staff is always kind and ready to help with anything I may need , being a person with severe anxiety i do enjoy the self check out as well . However , What i do not love is the staff at the cvs pharmacy INSIDE target . now I dont know about you ( anyone who is going to read this ) I dont like being talk to as if I am a complet idiot , nor do I not appreciate feeling as if I am bothering someone who is clearly there to answer any and all questions pertaining to medication and medication management. Let's start with the pharmacist who every time I see them seems bored and detached. the 1st time I engage with said pharmacist I thought, ok maybe they have had a bad day , my case was an urgent one, i wasn't exactly my best either so I gave us both grace. The problem was solved though i left feeling as if I was being dismissed . Not to mention when speaking to the clerk (the pharmacist) cuts them off ,while they were speaking to me at least Everyone working back there looks bored and miserable. do not misunderstand i get it working with people can be an undertaking I am grateful for their service however , again if someone is going to the pharmacy to retrieve their medications or ask for assistance talking to them as if they are just another moron you have to deal with, well that is an issue . All this to say their customer service is severely lacking i would have let it go if I did not have the issue again . I could only speculate on why they behave this way. I do not like to be the problem but when you treat people you are serving as less than . It's a...
Read moreUPDATE- I’ve gone back a few times, order pick up and also purchase and never have an issue. They don’t have a wide range of selections, again, it’s a Target Express, but I always get what I need. Staff is always helpful, so is security when I need something out of the case.
I’ll give it a 4 because I wish it was bigger. I was absolutely mortified when reading the reviews. How rude the customer service is, how slow, etc. now, one of 2 things can be true, I notice that MOST NOT ALL BUT MOST people who are saying cstmr Srvc sucks, workers are rude etc, are white ppl. Now, let’s face it MOST NOT ALL, BUT MOST white people, when they visit an establishment where staff is mostly black, they really get entitled and expect to be waited on hand and foot, OR management saw the bad ratings and tightend up. This was my 1st time there and I was pleasantly surprised. IT IS INFACT A TARGET EXPRESS , you shouldn’t have to task for you figure it out. I did a return , order pick up and purchased a few items. All experiences were pleasant. A few items I needed were locked, and I was helped with getting the cases open no issue. The items I purchased were price matched with Walmart with no issues. I was even chatting with the security. I frequently patronize the Atlantic Ave location, which is great, but more often I’m at Fulton Street due to them having produce and meat section. I will surely be going here more often. I’ll be sure to update my experience if...
