Halal Fresh Chinese and Indian cuisine — Restaurant in New York

not a great experience at all,

I don’t know if the people who reviewed this restaurant have ever been to a good Chinese food restaurant but this was the complete opposite. The chicken and broccoli was not orange at all it was this cooked unseasoned chicken with some gravy and broccoli. The dumplings tasted good but the sauce that came with it is supposed to be on the sweeter side it tasted like soy sauce. The sesame chicken did not taste like real sesame chicken the sauce did not taste right and just tasted like honey was poured on top. The only good experience of all the food was the chicken lo mein which tasted the most good out of all dishes. I wanted to try this place out because I wanted to experience more Halal Chinese food but this place is somewhere that I’m definitely going to be avoiding next time I want halal...

Firstly, the restaurant is clean and tidy, and the staffs are nice, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. However when it comes to their food I would say it is not worth it compared to the price. I ordered hot and sour soup- which was salty. Their stir fried beed salad is not how a stir fried beef salad looks or tastes like- they just put the stir fried beef over a regular salad (cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes onions etc). Lastly the wontons are no where near how classic wontons are. It was super thick and doughy. I was looking forward to this restaurant but unfortunately ended up being disappointed. I ordered the tikka chicken biryani and SPECIFICALLY asked to not make it spicy bc it’s for children and there’s like a million chillies in it🤦🏽‍♀️. Get home and it’s super spicy for me (i have a high spice tolerance) and so they couldn’t eat it and i had to make something quick for them, not only money wasted but now im sitting with so much unnecessary food. I got a lamb biryani for myself, lamb was very tough but Both are delicious (flavor wise) and it was my first time ordering from here so I’ll just say, be careful of the spice even when they say they won’t make it spicy.
