"Ultimate Travel Guide to New York City: A Two-Day Itinerary 🇺🇸"

My friend and I wandered out of our Times Square hotel in the freezing NYC wind—without a first coffee of the day or food plan. As we walked through the Upper West Side, we could see up ahead what looked like a cute cafe. We were hats-down, scarves-up frozen trying to navigate sidewalk pedestrians to move over and read a window menu when the front door to Harvest suddenly opened and a kind, magical man appeared out of nowhere with a menu in hand like some brunch angel sent by the heavens. No pressure, no sales pitch—just divine guidance. Our decision was made and we walked in immediately. I had the French toast with homemade cinnamon bread, fresh berries, and local maple syrup. The toast may or may not have had divine powers because (a lifetime first) I finished the entire plate and felt no sugar crash. My friend ordered a spinach omelet cooked SO perfectly, it reversed years of emotional damage from ruined-omelet disasters of brunches past. We did not even know how deep her soggy spinach wound was. But for just $19, Harvest cracked it open, and healed it. A true therapy breakthrough. Bonus Harvest moments: An almond milk latte that passed my former-PNW-resident coffee-snob standards, a toasty warm window seat with summer sidewalk cafe vibes, and zero pressure to leave as we slow-sipped our lattes in Tuesday morning vacation mode. Devastated we weren’t staying in NYC longer for return visits— Harvest, you (and Apex the Stegosaurus) were a highlight of my UWS adventure!

The ideal place to eat in your 'hood and to enjoy a special dinner without getting too dressed up. The menu is far more diverse than just a burger and salads, ensuring that there is something for everyone, regardless of the reason for a visit. We were not too hungry, so we ordered several appetizers and were impressed. The focaccia bread had a great texture and the taste was yummy. The chips and guac were seasoned well, making for a flavorful, crisp bite. Without a doubt, the highlight of the meal was the hummus — a stand-out version of a dish you must have tasted zillions of times in your life with a seasoning that outshone its regular counterparts. The fries were exactly perfectly crisp and the fava bean salad came with a great light dressing that sang in harmony with absolutely everything. The service was efficient and fast, with friendly and inviting servers and hosts making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was charming and relaxing, with a cozy yet spacious layout that avoided the cramped feeling of many NYC eateries. Overall, Harvest Kitchen is a fantastic place for any dining occasion. Whether you're out for a casual lunch with friends or a special afternoon treat, this spot hits the mark. I can't wait to come back hungrier and explore more of their main dishes!

I generally go out of my way of not being one of 'those' customers, or bashing a place for silly things. We picked this place because the menu looked amazing. It was 3 adults and 2 kids, and we were seated right away! That's about all that went well. We spent a long time waiting for someone to come by with menus and offer us water. Eventually we got those, then some more time went before our order was taken...our appetizer (calamari) was good, but once we finished, the plate, with remnants of lemon wedges and sauces, stood on our table for the rest of the meal (it was still there when we left). Two of us ordered a burgers, and were never given an option fries or salad, so we ended up with fries (which is fine). The kids ordered came out wrong (we asked for plain burger, and they got the works), so we had to get another order made. My tuna burger with kimchi was actually really good. We had a round of beers, and then we ordered round 2. The first round of empty glasses added onto the pile of dirty and used dishes, and just stayed there for the remainder of the meal (like the plate from calamari, the previous beer glasses were still there when we left). We had to ask for water multiple times, to get a refill.

Look, I get it was a beautiful Sunday day in the city, and a lot of people were out...but there's no excuse not to maintain the table. Literally nothing was removed from it, and we just kept adding on.

The rest of the food was fine, nothing spectacular. I'm hoping it was just a fluke, because I see other reviews...

My friends and I went to this restaurant today and the service was absolutely awful. Not only did we not have any tableware, but we were placed in the farthest corner in front of the the store. The waiter who served our dishes dropped our meat on the table and put it back in the plate in front of our eyes. After looking at him weirdly he asked me if I was confused. I asked for a switch not even sure if they did switch it. The manager came asking if we were eating good and before we could answer, he already walked away. After eating, I told the manager how dissatisfied we were and he apologized and gave us a discount which I think was decent. But after returning to our home, my friend realized that she lost her wallet and I called the store. The server replied that they indeed found a grey wallet and even asked for identification. The server said that he will give it to the manager so when we ask for retrieval we could just ask the manager. A friend who was currently in Manhattan went to retrieve the wallet but was returned with “We didn’t find any wallet.” I continuously told my friend to go back in the store and ask for the wallet and in the end, they returned it but we found money missing. I called the store and again the Manager asked me what he is supposed to do. This place is utterly disgusting, the service is awful and has...
