This coffee shop just opened it's doors about a week ago 1/3/2019. From an aesthetics perspective, great overall environment of the coffee shop and enjoyed being able to people watch from the seats looking out the window. From a customer service perspective, the two gentleman there were down to earth, easy going, and great and being personable - a quality treat for any type of business. From a product perspective, they have some work do to, however, they are willing to listen and take feedback well. Several people said their Americano was watered down. The overall coffee is of high quality, they just need to work on portions. My wife ordered a hot chocolate with Oat milk. They made the drink wrong the first time, however, remade it, and even gave us a free drink on them for the error. By the way, it was a great hot chocolate they make their own chocolate sauce in their shop.
Will make sure to revisit to see how they adjust to the feedback they get from the community, but overall I am confident they will be a great contribution to the quality coffee scene that is needed in the area. Already better than the Starbucks...
Read moreOn my first visit, the otherwise good coffee was spoiled by an arrogant worker.
The sandwich board sign on the sidewalk outside says, "Good music + Coffee." I realize that good music means different stuff to different folks, but customer service does not. I was having my coffee at the counter and the music being played was techno or similar. Okay, I'm a bit long in the tooth for techno, but some people might like it. For me, it's repetitive nature was driving me nuts. I very nicely approached the young man with whom I'd placed my order five minutes before and said, "I mean no disrespect, but could you switch the music to something a little less repetitive."
His answer, delivered with what I heard as, well, somewhat mean spirited, was "I work here and I get to pick the music." I said, "But I'm the customer." I don't remember exactly what he said to that, but it was not "The customer is always right." There must be a dozen coffee and pastry shops within a 15 minute walk from my apartment. I will NEVER step into Black Press...
Read moreService was unbelievable bad today. I came 8 minutes before closing. I understand itâs pretty late but I was nice and asked âare you still open? May I have two lattes?â He normally responded me that they still open. He asked me something but English itâs my second language and I didnât understand what exactly he asked. I said âIâm sorry, could you repeat? Answered me and I said âIâm sorry could you repeat one more time for me?â Then he said with angry tone âregular milkâs fine???â I said yes please. He began throwing coffee utensils furiously and banging the milk jug loudly. When he was done with lattes I normally said thank you he didnât respond me. I know I came pretty late but do I deserve this kind of service? I donât know that guy but it was just rude and unprofessional. Also latte was under normal...
