This place receives a 1 star from me because of its receptionist, the rest of the staff is lovely. I usually don't write negative reviews but I need to share this so it doesn't happen to other people also. In short, the receptionist charged me double the price of what we had agreed to for the service and was very rude about it when I obviously was not OK with it. She wouldn't accept the agreed amount despite her admitting a communication error. If you look at the other reviews here and at Yelp you will see that this has not just happened to me. Stay away! The long story: I have a little baby boy who needed a little haircut. I went to the Lovella West salon and asked what they would charge for a baby haircut. The receptionist and hairstylist were nice about it and said they usually charge the price of bang trim as it's only a baby haircut. We were happy with the service and paid the agreed to amount. A few months later my babies had grown long again and was annoying his eyes so I asked my husband if we could stop by the Lovella salon for a few mins. We went in and the receptionist was there again. I asked if they had availability by any chance and if we could have the same service, charged as a bang trim like last time. She asked a stylist and they both said it is fine. After the service I went up to pay and suddenly the receptionist wanted to charge me double the price. Obviously I was surprised and asked why. She said the service was longer than she expected so she is charging a full haircut now (it was not even 5mins!). I told her that she can't just charge double the price without any communication. The stylist was perfectly aware of the service and agreement and had no issues with it either. Then she said the stylist used different scissors so it is more now and started showing me price lists etc. I insisted on paying for the agreed service and price but she got so angry with me and I upset in the process that I asked to speak with the owner. I couldn't come back on the day the owner was in the salon next and she didn't have a card of the owner, only of the store so I asked her to let him call the number they had on file for me. Weeks past and no one called me, I went by the salon a few times but the lady was always there and I was scared of the confrontation with her and when I called she was always on the phone. Today I took all my courage together and went in again as I just wanted to close this and pay for the agreed service before I am moving abroad. Unfortunately she showed the same behavior but admitted that it was a communication error after some discussion. It would have been totally fine for her to say that the agreement of the first visit was a one off and XY is the price but she and the hairstylist agreed to the same service and price. I told her I just want to pay for the agreed service and settle this matter. She agreed that it was a communication error but told me the owner of the place is now aware so now she can't charge the agreed price anymore. I said that I would do her a favor and pay for the full amount plus tip even though it is not right but then we can settle this matter here and right now since I am moving away. Then she suddenly said that she can't accept payment because her credit card machine is down and said 'she wants to leave it this way' whatever that means. I told her I have cash. She still tried to find reasons to not accept payment but I paid her anyway (image attached) and left. I don't understand why any business would want to treat a customer this way especially if it is a communication error on their side. Needless to say I won't come back and neither my 2 girlfriends that used to come here.

TL;DR: just look at the fourth photo and ask yourself if that's professional. Also, this salon withholds refunds for negative reviews. If you want to go to a salon that believes a trim is 5 inches, removing huge chunks of hair is in vogue, and mocking clients is appropriate, Laveli is perfect for you. ... I'm editing my initial review for concision. Late July 2025, I came in for a cut with Suzy. I asked for a trim and got 5" taken off with no warning. Not only was the cut too short, but after I got home and the blowout deflated, I saw the shape was quite unflattering. Suzy had cut a poofy chin-length layer that dragged the eye downward. I thought the haircut could be salvaged with a face frame. In retrospect, it was naive to give the salon another chance after one haircut gone wrong, but I returned like a lamb to slaughter. Instead of breaking up the chin-length layer in the front, Suzy just cut a huge chunk out of the right side of my hair. See the side view photo—I think I could have achieved the same effect with kitchen scissors. To make matters worse, management at this salon is mean-spirited. Initially, the receptionist agreed to refund me for the haircut, saying she could give cash if I came in. Then, AFTER this conversation, a woman named Lisa called and said that I couldn't get the refund because I had left a review. She was quite rude on the phone. As you can see, the owner responded in a snarky, condescending manner, blaming me for not stopping the haircut. Bizarrely, he claims to have listened to a recording of the haircut (creepy, lol), but is making up quotes and contradicting himself. For example, I'm certain I never used the word "density" when speaking with Suzy. I uploaded four photos. Before the cut, the first version of Suzy's cut, the updated cut with a "face frame" salon fresh, and finally a side view of the updated haircut right after I got home. Judge for yourself if this is a trim with gradual layers.

I’m so glad I found Sara. I’ve been going to her for almost a year now and she has become my go-to. I have naturally dark hair and she is the only stylist that can blend highlights perfectly into my natural color. She has also mastered getting the perfect waves in her blowouts. My highlights were done over a month ago and still looking amazing. I only wish she worked more than once a week so I could make getting my hair done fit into my schedule better. I also like that the staff and stylists who help wash and prep are friendly and welcoming, always offering a drink and make the experience nicer.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hairsalon LeVeli, and I can't express enough how thrilled I am with the experience! As a luxury real estate agent, I am quite particular about where I go for my beauty needs, and Oded truly exceeded my expectations.

Oded is an amazing colorist who helped me achieve the perfect reddish hue for my hair. His expertise and attention to detail made the entire process enjoyable and stress-free. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered valuable suggestions that enhanced the final result.

The atmosphere at Hairsalon LeVeli is both welcoming and luxurious, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to indulge in some self-care. I left feeling rejuvenated and confident, and I can't wait to return for my next appointment. Salon is nice and clean and service is amazing. If you're looking for a top salon experience, I highly recommend Hairsalon LeVeli. Thank you, Oded, for your...
