If there was zero stars i would give that. i decided to go there because it was my friends bday, we were looking for brunch, and i heard they were new in the area, the waitress that acknowledged us was rude and rolling her eyes, after saying that the table was not her section but she would take the order cuz they were short staff. It is not my fault ur place is short staff and im sorry u dont get paid well but dont discount your missfortunes on your clients. After giving us a nasty atitude, we get the order and noticed many things were forgotten, i got iced tea instead of iced coffe, the pancakes was like a rock and burned under, my uncle asked for gravy for his turkey she never brought it out, i asked for a cake for my friend and requested them to sing for her, (as they have sang to another table) they brought the cake and never even said happy birthday. I requested the check and it took this girl almost 30 mts to bring it out and i was ready to walk out without paying it. (should have just done that) Terrible service, horrible chefs! food was disgusting. and on top of that staff showing signs of not wanting to work there, this place needs a serious management replacement or soon it will be out of business. I understand sometimes is a lot for workers and they dont get enough money, but please dont discount on the people who just want to go there to have a brunch on a sunday. I never had such a bad experience on any ihop. Please dont waste your time and money. there are TONS OF amazing RESTAURANTS in astoria. THIS does not...

Update: I recently paid a visit to this restaurant and saw the sign posted by NYC setting out the requirements for asking for proof of vaccination.
I asked the person at the counter if iHop is following the required protocol for asking for proof of vaccination. The response I got from the server I spoke with was "No, not today". I asked what does that mean - That they only ask on certain days and not others? Does this mean that if they are busy they ignore required protocol. He had no response.
If you care about your health and safety and those of your friends and love ones, you may want to know that based on the answer I received it appears that despite the requirement by NYC to ask for proof of vaccination, this iHop does not appear to be following this protocol. Or if they do, they only do it on days when they are not busy so as not to impact the flow of business.
It is your right to feel confident that any establishment you walk into is following this requirement protocol.
These are worrisome times with the new variant of COVID as well as the concern about those who have not gotten vaccinated at all.
I make no judgment for or against anyone's beliefs, but what I will say is that everyone should bear in mind that whatever decisions you make will absolutely have an impact on whomever you come into contact.
Be safe, be smart, be protactive! Your life may...
Read moreI am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding an unacceptable experience at location on 31st street in Queens, NY "] during a recent late-night visit.
On 4/20/2025 at approximately 4:10am, I and my party attempted to dine in at your establishment. We were immediately approached by the night shift employee on duty who informed us that we were required to pay for our meal prior to being seated and receiving any service. This demand is contrary to the standard operating procedures of a full-service restaurant, where payment is typically rendered after the meal has been consumed.
Furthermore, our party experienced a significant delay before even being addressed by this employee. This lack of prompt attention, coupled with the unusual and unprofessional payment request, created a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere.
Due to this substandard service and deviation from typical restaurant practices, I am compelled to express my dissatisfaction. As a result of this experience, I will no longer be patronizing this particular IHOP location during the late-night hours.
I urge you to address this issue with the employee in question and to reinforce the correct customer service protocols to ensure that future patrons do not encounter similar negative experiences. This incident reflects poorly on the IHOP brand and could deter other customers as...
