This used to be my families go to spot for a solid Italian dinner. I haven’t been here in years and decided to revisit with some friends….after our recent visit I was reminded why we stopped coming here.
The service was just okay. I was very confused as to who our server was. I felt as though our table was forgotten about. No one ever checked up on us and we waited a very long time in between courses.
The food was also just okay. Nothing was crazy delicious but nothing was bad tasting either. I’m convinced their seafood is frozen and never fresh, which is a huge disappointment.
Our waiter was constantly trying to upsell everything. And we were completely shocked at how expensive our dinner was when we received the bill. We ordered a seafood appetizer and he asked if we wanted it for the table and we said yes. We didn’t realize he was going to charge us for 4 appetizers. We also asked for a bottle of red wine for the table and brought us a $50+ bottle. As we reluctantly paid our bill the server asked us to tip him in cash which left a bad taste in our mouths.
There are so many other good Italian restaurants in the neighborhood where you can get better quality food and phenomenal service for a much more...
Read moreI ordered from this restaurant on Sunday, August 17th, and they forgot to send the two desserts. I called right away and was told a manager would contact me shortly. Two hours later, no call — so I called back. This wasn’t the first mistake either; they had messed up my order the week before.
Instead of resolving it, the staff told me the manager was too busy and suggested waiting until the next day. I pushed back, gave my credit card number, and was told the refund would be processed right away. However, Toast customer support confirmed that if a refund or void had actually been processed, I would have seen it on my receipt immediately. Nothing ever appeared, proving the restaurant never followed through.
By Tuesday, I called again only to be met with excuses and dismissiveness. I was told refunds are some “long process,” when in reality it’s a simple void for two missing items. By Thursday, still no refund. Instead of taking responsibility, they wasted my time and tried to brush me off.
At this point, it’s not even about the money — it’s about how little they value their customers. In the end, I had to file a dispute with my bank just to get back what I paid for and never received. Terrible service...
Read moreRip off!! First of all, they charge you a fee if you use a credit card. Next, $13 for a glass of white wine, $4 for a seltzer, and $6 for a cappuccino is ridiculous. 3 balls of profiteroles for dessert is $10! The red snapper was very good but for the price of $26 it should have been excellent. The grilled octopus was delicious and tender so I didn't mind that for $17. Also, beware, my entree came with salad, so I ordered a salad to start for nothing (they were both very good, though). If I didn't ask the waiter he wouldn't have told me. Furthermore, there was a party going on in the next room; it was very noisy and we kept getting different waiters. I had to get up and ask a waiter for a dessert menu after waiting for what seemed like an hour. To top it off, he forgot to give me the leftover profiterole and I had to go back inside to get it. Not to mention it was freezing in there too as they left the front door wide open. Unfortunately, our table was near the entrance to the basement so I kept getting the draft from there too as the employees kept going up and down. It's a shame, though. I eventually would like to give this place another try, as it is an Italian, friendly...
