Really really wanted to like this place I went right when they started letting restaurants seat inside again. When I arrived it was fairly empty except for a family sitting outside so I didn’t think I’d have to wait long for food. First I ordered a drink the liquid marijuana, it wasn’t really my speed so I ordered a pinacolda right after I didn’t even get past 2 sips in my first drink. My friend that I was with ordered a margarita and said hers was fine. When I started drinking the pina coloda I realized there was lil to no alcohol in my drink. I asked my friend if I was losing it ( im not a heavy drinker and When I ordered my first drink I took 2 sips and felt it immediately which is why I stopped and got something lighter, I wasn’t trying to be drunk before I even got my food but I was still a lil nice off those sips which is why I wanted a second opinion) and to try it and she said the same. I didn’t wanna make deal even though I should’ve but nevertheless we continue to wait for our food. We both ordered pasta hers with oxtail and mines with lobster. In total we waited 2 hours for our food, I literally finished my drink before it came and the real kicker was my food was served cold. When I brought it up to the waitress she said she’d take $10 off which wasn’t doing anything if drinks start at $14. I’ve been coming here about 2 years now, but last night was really the last time I come here. When I got there the security guard(he refused to give me his name) and his partner(she also refused to give me her name) wouldn’t let us in because one of our friends didn’t have ID just only a picture. Fine no problem we left and went to get it, when we came back they decided now they wanted to charge us to get in. Listen I’ve been coming here for some time and if there’s an event I’ll pay to get in but if you’re going to charge me , make sure you’re charging everyone don’t just pick and choose. Because he let people in front of us in without paying and when we asked him he said he felt like it. When he realizes we caught on to his little scheme he FaceTimed some random person laughing in our faces talking about we playing. That’s so unprofessional so we asked to speak to management several times and were DENIED, when he asked for their names we were denied that also. Ghetto! I’m going to post the video I recorded all over my TikTok and I’ll be posting it on @rawreviews as soon as I get all the footage because that’s unacceptable. We were cursed out because we asked to speak to the manager. The other security guard took off her jacket wanting to fight us because we took a picture of the front of the establishment and threatened to leave a review. I REALLY enjoyed my visit. I got there just before Happy Hour ended and was able to squeeze in a discounted drink. It was great! Strong, but deliciously mixed. The food was SO well seasoned! Get the sampler- that fish is juicy, crunchy, seasoned. 🤤There was almost a fight about who would get the last piece. The oxtail was delicious as was the jerk wings, which have a kick, the rasta pasta, that my friend who only likes her own said she'll order, and even the peppa sauce is great! The server was top notch, wish I remembered her name to give kudos. You see them clean the tables between patrons. The reason they didn't get a 5? The music. While the tunes themselves got a thumbs up, it was way too loud! Club level sound, but when there's only a few tables it's unnecessary and makes convo almost impossible. It does get more crowded later into the evening and at that point the volume went better. Also, at one point, there was about 4 tables in use and they sat another party right next to us. They did hookah and their smoke was blowing on us. If we were doing it to, or there was limited other seating, I would've understood, but more than half the restaurant was empty at that point.
