Smashburger — Restaurant in New York

This was my first time visiting Smashburger and I really enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This location has two entrances. A greeter asks if you are picking up or dining in upon entry.. The main entrance has the pick up section available in the front so, you won't have to go far for your order.

The ordering lines was a bit confusing as it's next to the pick up area. There was some confusion but, once the cashier got settled, it was smooth sailing. They were courteous and friendly while offering suggestions and being patient when we asked questions.

The food took a bit longer to prepare than I would have expected but, they were going through orders very quickly. I appreciated that they had people checking in on you and while you were waiting for your food. It made the experience feel more personal and intimate like you are dining at a fine restaurant.

I liked that they had dedicated people that were cleaning the entire restaurant such as the windows and door handles. When someone got up, their area got disinfected almost immediately. They also have a sanitation area that you can clean your hands upon entry.

I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. The sandwich was delicious and had a nice crispy crunch when I bit into it. I enjoyed my sandwich but, I found the rosemary fries to be too salty. I wasn't a big fan of their seasoned fries. I got a salted caramel milkshake and it was super delicious. I think it was the best part of the meal. Overall, I found the meal to be filling and delicious.

My friend ordered the fried fish sandwich and loved it. They thought it was well seasoned and done well. They also ordered a coffee and enjoyed it. However, Farabe thought it was better without the creamer. We both were not a fan of fries and they didn't finish theirs.

The sitting area was spacious and had a lot of natural light. I enjoyed the modern and clean aesthetics along with books lining parts of the wall. They had two gender specific bathrooms but, I didn't use them. I am looking forward to visiting here again since, they are opening up a Target and Five...

that girl is super racist, she treats me badly the attitude is very ugly for the simple fact of not speaking English well! she is the typical Karen! people like her should not work there the service is the worst I will not buy more there

I can't believe this is happening again! in the same store and with a different person! ! I placed an order through the Grubhub app! pick ! I put my mom's name on it because it was a detail I wanted to give her but I went to pick it up! the girl in front is the one in the photo with the yellow hair she spoke spanish she didn't want to speak to me in spanish i don't understand! I asked her for my order, she didn't tell me anything! then I asked him the same question and he came up with a lot of rudeness 🤬 I replied that he shouldn't treat me so he wanted to talk to the manager and he replied that the manager is not going to do anything to him! I think they are friends! the person in charge is the one in the photo who is different from the person in charge who is very nice. she wasn't there! that is to say, today I felt discriminated against for the simple fact of picking up my order, he mistakes me for a driver! I don't want to think about how they should treat those poor people who help rather. with your sales and wages! again I leave a comment to see if they can do something that I do not tolerate! this kind of action! I often shop at target on saturdays for some retail therapy, and I have never tried smash burger, so today I thought I’d stop in on my way out from shopping. Upon walking in, multiple employees looked at me and did not greet me. Fine, that’s New York for you. I then am standing at the counter looking at the menu and I have decided what I wanted to order. I am looking at the employees and they are just looking back at me, still no one says hello or are you ready to order.

Then a older black gentlemen finally asks if I have been helped. I said no, and here comes employee Lynnise walking towards the counter and throws her arms up saying “I’m right here” with hella attitude and rolls her eyes. I pause look at him and he looks at me, because he already knew. But I let it slide and order my food. Not once did Lynnise make eye contact with me and was not welcoming whatsoever. Mind you she was one of the employees that was closest to me when I came in and never greeted me.

I don’t see myself returning on this...
