WASTE OF YOUR PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY AND MAYBE HEARING ! Came here for Mother's Day 2016. Reservations for 5:30 was seated around 5:45. Employees passed our table for 30 minutes without even a glance. No bread, water, veggies, utensils on the table. Music was so loud we had to scream to hear one another at the same table. After we mentioned to a host were we about to die of neglect, they took our drink orders that was another 15 minute wait - for 5 soft drinks. I should have mentioned when we were coming in the restaurant, a couple was coming out and the man was loudly cursing about waiting for over 2 hours and no whats-it-not, so-so-not food {not Sunday/kiddie talk, people}. Should have RAN for our lives then. At the two hour mark that's when they took our appetizer orders, but that's because we were getting up to walk out. The appetizers came another half an hour afterwards. The soup was cold, and tasted like Brine water - pure salt. By this time everyone's pressure was up and we watched the table across from us and the table behind us walk out, vex. Three hours of sitting in this dark, chilly room where they had 5 people sitting at a tiny table for 4, a chair was placed in the aisle - {foolishness - should have known we would get bootleg treatment then}. I'm over this place. The Hostess kept saying the wait was because the food was made to order but that's a lie because it was a predetermined menu, and there wasn't a hell of a lot to choose from, so these dishes should have been at least in pre-preparation. When she saw us grabbing coats she came with one of the five dishes and my sister said the food was ice cold. So that made to order story ? LIE. That's when we paid $27 for five tiny fruit punches, four ice cold dirty dish water tasting "fish" soups {where was the fish by the way} ? And an unimaginative bland green salad, no dressing, and headed for the streets. By this time there was a multitude of us out in the front of the restaurant trading our horror stories. I tried to patronize, you Trelawni Place, but dammit, you made it impossible. Turn down the damn music, turn up the lights, the heat, and the service, Trelawni Place, I saw too many people walking out, and cursing outside of your establishment unfed to believe...
Read moreThis is THE WORST RESTAURANT EVER. I'm currently sitting here dining and wish I could just leave. But I am with a group. We got here around 4:45 , it is now 7pm our entrees finally arrived. It took over an hour for our appetizers. I got the wrong appetizer. Before we were even given a menu , we were being rushed to order due to another party supposedly coming in. We are a pArty of 14. Yet even to get water and napkins that took 20mn. My Cajun salmon was tasteless, overcooked and dry asf. It was supposed to be served with creamy sweet potato mashed and spinach in a shrimp bisque. Well, i received two pieces of sweet potatoes and some unseasoned spinach and no lobster bisque. I ordered pineapple jerk wings and received some wings I'm a stew sauce. The rice and peas was pretty much plain tasteless and rubbish with some peas thrown in there. One of our guest just got his food at 7:13pm. They didn't have half if the appetizers or entrees. The best part of the meal was the Rum Punch. We even received some watered down ginger ale. Yet even we made a complaint, the waitress offered us cheesecake and "refills" on our coctails only to tell us that we have to pay for it. The oxtails were ok. The kids meal , fries and chicken fingers dry. Throughout it all, owner nor manager came out to offer an apology nor a compensation. I understand it was out the waitress's control. However the unapologetic atmosphere is definitely a guarantee that I will never return nor will ant of my party. The service, the food, the delay all of it gets a big dat zero. OverAll it feels like we were asking for too much. I Will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreWhere do I even begin. It was my sisters 20th Birthday. We were having difficulty finding a seafood restaurant that also had a good land based meal as well. I live in the area of the restaurant and attempt to support Black owned businesses every time I can. I attempted to call earlier in the day after looking at their menu on Google. The phone just rang out. I called back hours later same response. Phone just rang. Their website seems to be cut off. So my family and I agreed to meet at 6 since the restaurant opens at 4. When my mother and sister arrive. The door was locked. They were greeted by a rude employee who I think may be the owner who asked if they had a reservation. The restaurant was empty. But they were expecting a 5 person group at 7:30. That never arrived. The menu on Google is not their menu. None of the items featured on Google they have. They act like they dont even know Google has a menu. The overall experience was horrible. The appetizers were over done and tasteless. But tasted better than the entrees. They had 4 of glasses and she seemed annoyed she couldn't sell us wine. No children's menu. The jerk chicken had no flavor. The fried chicken had no flavor. Most restaurants also give a whole bottle of ketchup instead of kid sized cups. The attitude of the staff was as if our patronage was somehow bothersome. So we won't support them. Had the food been bad and good service I would have given them no review at all. The whole evening was a joke. Flavorless chicken, deep fried plantains, no salt. It was a shame. I had high expectations that was a complete...
