Update after another visit: Always great food...they never rush you...the staff is fantastic and as always! Again had the wurst sampler...because why not! You get a little of everything that's delicious...you don't feel overly stuffed and it's a great dish to share. The calamari is good....the apple strudel was pretty good as well but go for the molten chocolate cake instead. We tried the potato pancake - the rosemary sour creme was nice - but I would pass on these next time for something different.

Approx 3rd visit. The food is always delicious! This time around we had the huge pretzel with mustards and beer cheese, fried calamari (because why not) and the sausage sampler with cabbage, sauerkraut and home fries. The molten chocolate cake was great - chocolate but not overly sweet with a nice scoop of ice cream. It was a great late lunch/early dinner...very filling and satisfying. The schnitzel is also very good, crisp and tasty with mushrooms. The wait staff is not only friendly but attentive and courteous!

Had to go back....by far one of my faves in Whitestone. Apparently, my bf and I just love the sampler. I enjoy German food and thought I had my fave dishes and restaurants but I keep wanting to come back to Jagerhaus. This time also tried their Fish and Chips...the fish was little salty for me but bf enjoyed. The fries! The Fries...amazing. I would go back tomorrow just to have their fries - def waited too long...should've had the sooner! Have to say - the service here is outstanding- they're always friendly and accommodating - they...

Let me start by saying that my girlfriend and I used to love this spot. The food was consistent in flavor and quality. The beer selection was great and the atmosphere was amazing. I would frequent this place with a lot of friends and colleagues and everyone would agree the place was amazing. Then the original owner sold the business to the current owners. The food is not consistent, sometimes hot sometimes cold, sometimes good sometimes inedible. They have went from an authentic German restaurant to some sort of Mediterranean fusion joint. NEWS FLASH: NO ONE GOES TO JAGERHAUS FOR GRILLED OCTOPUS OR MEDITERRANEAN BRONZINO, STICK TO THE SCRIPT!!!! They are usually having issues with one or several taps which is disappointing. But worst of all the customer service has become deplorable. Servers do not seem to know the menu and are usually not very attentive. Worst of all is the fact that if you sit down at 8 and they close at 9, rest assured, they will ask you to leave at 9. Or completely turn you away if you come around 8:30. Never have I seen a restaurant treat its customers in this manner. No “last call” or anything. Truly appalling. It really sucks because the place has major potential and was very successful at one point. I wish I could enjoy it again. It’s amazing how stupid owners can destroy a business. I would give it one star because I still see that this place can turn things around but I highly...

Visited years ago and the food and service was wonderful. There must be new owners because a lot has changed. They didn't care enough to even clean the snow from their patio and were turning away customers due to lack of outdoor seating. No one was wearing a mask when we first arrived.. I'd say we were "lucky" to get the one table that was available outside - but the owner didn't even seem excited to have a paying customer. Not the greeting I was expecting being that we were the only people there, aside from the group who arrived after us who was turned away. Seems that the owners and staff would've much rather been sitting at the bar doing nothing. The waitress must still be learning because someone else had to come pour our beers for us and she had us waiting for way too long even though we were literally the only customers there. She rushed us to order our entrees before the appetizers even came out, even though there was an hour until the kitchen closed. She also neglected to clear the tiny table we were seated at. I get that we are going through a pandemic and times are hard for small businesses but in my experience they have usually appreciated the support. Not sure if the new owners just don't care, but between the decline in the quality of the food since they have taken over and the now-horrible service being provided, I definitely won't be returning or recommending this...

Came here on the evening before Thanksgiving and was able to quickly get a table, surprisingly there was a decent number of people coming into the restaurant throughout the night. My favorite food of the night was the pierogi, it tasted amazing. The pretzel was good and tasted better than actual pretzels I tried in Bavaria, although I think the sauce selection could’ve been better. We enjoyed 2 of the 3 wursts from the sampler. The Jäger Schnitzel was meh, the outside was not that crispy and the sides (potatoes and string beans) were forgettable (for what it’s worth, the person who I gave the leftovers to REALLY liked the schnitzel). Definitely recommend the Augustiner Hellis, it’s great to see a selection of Bavarian beers here. Would love to see Radlers too. Overall, the food was alright and the service was good. Don’t think I would come back here too often since it doesn’t really seem worth the price to me, but cool to have authentic Bavarian food here in Queens.
