Incredibly rude!! This was my first time visiting Chip City after discovering it on Instagram and wanted to treat the family. The cashier, a young indigenous woman appeared new but was polite and very helpful. We came in to order 4 strawberry shortcake cookies at the 123 Kent Ave location. There were two cookies left and the cashier told us not to worry there’s a fresh batch in the back. Her snotty coworker interjected and told us we must take the two in the front rather than give us four from a fresh tray which she brought out momentarily. Not a big deal, I turned my attention back to the cashier who then informed me about the buy 5 get 6 deal. We quickly placed our order, took it, and left. Upon returning home, I received a transaction notification and it revealed that I was charged $15 extra. I called the store a little after 9:30pm on July 23rd to quickly review price and my receipt with an unknown woman. Within 12 seconds, she cut me off mid-sentence, put me on hold, hung up, and shut off the phone lines so that I was unable to reach the store. Read moreI love your cookies. I’m a bodybuilder and come here once a week for my cheat treat. I literally came from my workout to you Williamsburg location to order cookies. I asked the woman behind the desk, I think she’s the manager her initial began with an “M” if she had an apple iPhone charger I may use just for a bit while I’m in the store to charge my iPhone which is dying. She said it’s a liability for the company. I said ok, while I’m in the store? Im looking at the apple charger as I’m buying the cookies. She said it’s company policy. I am in the store. I will not leave the store. Im not sure how it’s a liability, as I’m not going to harm anyone or anything. The charger which is apparently the company’s to charge the computer. I would just need it for a few minutes to charge my phone. I have been in retail and customer service my whole life. I am a hairstylist and personal trainer. I have made customer service the upmost high priority. This is horrible. As I am one of your many loyal customers. I have been a store manager for THE GAP. Read moreI haven’t been In to the store myself but have ordered from both locations. I’m certain these are the best cookies in the world and this cookie bakery is genius. The only cookie I have not liked was the “rainbow chocolate cake” cookie and I shouldve known because I don’t like those cakes but I know my grandmother would’ve loved it.
I will say idk what is going on in LIC location of chip city; Williamsburg’s location is the spot to go and you can walk around the beautiful neighborhood and enjoy your amazing cookie if you do get a chance to go by the shop.
