I've came to Jouvey a few years back and it was okay , never really had a problem here, however me and my friend decided to go this year for Halloween. If it weren't for the amazing gentleman that DJ'd that night I would've left and spent my money elsewhere. We sat down at a table , literally a small table with two chairs, it looked like a table that would be at the food court in a mall. We ordered hookah and wanted some drinks but was told we would have to go to the bar ? Ok cool I guess. It was still early in the night and we hadn't quite figured out what we wanted yet. The club finally gets full and one of the bottle girls tells us out of nowhere , we have to get up if we don't order a bottle. I immediately knew this was a ghetto , money hungry establishment. So instead of telling us when the club was empty that we would eventually have to buy a bottle or remove ourselves from the food court table and seats; You wait until the club gets full and tell us we have to get up with our hookah?? In the middle of all this , it looks like they already told 2-3 women that they could have our seats , so the girls are just staring at us like we were suppose to get up for them which really had me confused because this establishment is absolutely okay with remove paying customers out their seats and we were just suppose to stand around or find somewhere to go with the hookah. Not only that they called over several big security guards for 2 women, just to remove us from the picnic tables . Yall are pathetic, I've been to much better clubs, that don't have security asking us to toss our weed at the door. Yall tried to ruin our night and overcharge us. Thank god we end up working something out with the manager , she was nice but never again will...
Read moreExtremely dissatisfied! I’ve heard horrible things about this place but still decided to try it myself. For starters, the security is extremely rude compared to other clubs/ lounges in the area. They never stick to 1 price when entering and try to upcharge you and pocket the extra money. The bartenders are SUPER slow! It took nearly 25minutes for a girl to make 2 simple cocktails WHILE I was standing there, they kept checking their phones & having side conversations about what other customers are wearing (SO UNPROFESSIONAL). They work really slow near happy hour to ensure the people who are still waiting have to pay regular price when it’s their turn. You aren’t allowed to stand by the bar or sit at any empty couches/ tables. They make you buy a bottle if you want a table. Your hookah will be on the floor so don’t waste your time. We ended up getting a bottle of Henny Priv ($420) which is ridiculous even for a wack nightclub. Not to mention we only received 1.. YES 1 bottle of cranberry for the whole bottle. Extra ginger ale and cranberry were upwards of $10+ for 1. Keep in mind this was a slow Thursday night. This club used to be a lively Caribbean spot that played chutney, soca, reggae, dancehall, bollywood and somehow the owners let it become a jungle that only caters to the black crowd even though the majority of people would be Indian. I wouldn’t waste my time ever going back again and I regret not listening to the...
Read moreThe place was very disappointing! My Best friend I showed up around 11pm, a few crowds were already there. We ask for a hookah then was told to find a table to sit at. We ordered two drinks which were over priced for the size of the cup! The girl brought us our hookah which was weak! Anyone who smokes hookah would know what I am talking about. The place had NO HEAT, had to go back to the mandatory coat check-in and demand for our coats which they refused to give us back our $4 each But w.e! After an hour at the place while enjoying the music a hostess came up to our table, told us our table was reserved so we had to else where! I ask her where can we go with our hookah and she responded with an attitude “ i don’t know ? Anywhere over there which she pointed to the corner railing where the bottle girls sit at or to place our hookah on the stage which I found very odd to do. My friend and I were told two more times after that to move from the section we kept being told to go to from different workers. So basically if you don’t have bottle service you won’t have a place to sit regardless if you bought a hookah. This place will have you holding your own hookah in...
