Sangria — Restaurant in New York

Note they have WiFi, just ask for the password. Sangria Tapas Bar and Restaurant is a 10 minute subway ride from Forest Hills, and a welcome alternate to the Forest Hills Restaurant Scene.Wife and I had dinner there on 2015-MARCH-21. Sitting at the bar was very friendly, both Patrons and Server. We ordered a Pitcher of White Sangria (very nice) and 4 TAPAS. Tortilla Espanola, Mussels Espanola, Chirzo al la Plancha, and Codfish Fritters. Unfortunately, Google+ only allows 1 Review, so I can't give my second 5 star review.

They are an AirTrain ride away from Kennedy Airport as well as Howard Beach. I live in Howard Beach and its so convenient to Walk to the A-Train Subway/AirTrain Station and be at Sangria in 15 minutes. I neveer liked sangria before, but I can heartily recommend their White Sangria. My wife and I like to sit at the bar and have tapas. If you don't see what you want on the tapas menu, ask, or find something close and ask for the change. Spicy Lamb Kebobs on menu, I asked for similar - they suggested Shrimp - delicious! The area is coming up. And taking the AirTrain doesn't run the risk of being pulled over after consuming too much Sangria. Very Friendly folks, Highly...

This was our first time at this restaurant and it was visually a really nice looking place. We truly wanted to love this place. The bartender was wonderful, very accommodating and attentive which is a major plus to any place you dine. But unfortunately the food and cocktails were lacking massively. Which is the reason for the two stars. For my first cocktail i went for the classic Mojito and it was not well done. The mint was not fresh and i couldn't get the taste of lime and Bacardi. For the second cocktail I went for the Tropical sangria, again not well balanced. I didn't get the tropical flavor just wine and the fruit they choose to put in it were apples.....not very tropical. My dining partner was happy with his beer selection. For our Tapas we ordered Collard green soup which was heavily salted and oily, inedible and i like a slightly salty soup with warm bread. The Mussels were mediocre, Spicy garlic shrimp was good and the hit of the night was the Grilled Octopus and the Catalonia creme was nice For dessert. Overall, a make needs improvement. Which is a Shame because their menu of the day...

Our experience was fairly okay , we waited a hour and fifteen minutes for our food , the people who came in after got the food they ordered quickly , plus they made sure the takeout order were being taken care of, they did give us one round of drinks for free the waiter made sure to also make sure the man next to us was taken care of but its almost like we weren't even there so finally after complaining to the waiter and the manager our food finally came my the food was okay but weren't in awe about it , so the manager tried to compromise with us by offering another round of drinks and some dessert but at this point we were just ready to go , we asked if we could just get something taken off the bill so he gave us 15% which literally is one drink and we weren't satisfied with that so we asked for a bit more off and he tried to talk us down but we just weren't going to budge because of how bad the service was and then he gave us more off the bill but if you want slown service and happy hr I recommend coming here happy hr is monday through Friday 3-7 other than that we...
