I visited this establishment and ordered a simple dish: curry chicken with rice, beans, and plantains. I had also planned to purchase a $2 drink and leave a $2 tip, meaning they would have received additional revenue beyond the cost of the meal.
When I politely asked the staff member if I could have a small scoop of oxtail gravy on the rice, she flatly refused without offering the option to pay extra (e.g., "It’s $1-3 more"). While I understand that some requests may incur an additional charge, a simple "no" felt unnecessarily dismissive—especially for a modest request that could have easily been accommodated, given the visible hot trays of food.
Considering this is not a fine-dining establishment, the lack of flexibility was disappointing. As a result, I chose not to purchase the drink or leave a tip and left the restaurant. While it may seem minor, this experience ensured they lost out on the extra $4 I had intended to spend—and likely my...
Read moreI always get the curry, jerk, or oxtails Roti’s (which is the same price$16) and it’s amazing, now my son luv the veggie plate $7.50 which to me that Mac and cheese ain’t great at all. To me it’s too dry and not really cheesy it’s just a lot of cheese on the top (but to each it own) my fiancé is Jamica and says the food is ok since it’s close home which he usually get the oxtail’s $21, stew chicken or fried chicken meal $13.50 for either. Yes prices went up due to Covid-19 like every where. Only gave 3 stars because they attitude sucks big time it make it seems like someone is forcing them work and they rather be anywhere but there, not at all like the old employees which was nice and respectful and gave you that feeling to want to continue to go back, if it wasn’t for the roti’s and location they would of lost me a long time ago cause nobody want to deal with a person bad energy...
Read moreThey’re absolutely rude here. My first bad unpleasant experience , I came to order curry chicken and white rice. I asked if I can add oxtail gravy, they responded with “no they don’t add oxtail gravy if you’re not getting oxtail”. As I was paying for my food, the lady behind me asked for oxtail gravy on her fish and rice ordered and was accommodated. I brushed it off since another person took her order and may have not been privy to the “rule”. I went in today to order oxtail and rice the lady proceeded to tell me the rice isn’t done. I asked how long until it would be ready? She responded she don’t know? I asked an estimate 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes? She proceeded to tell me “I can’t not tell you when the rice will be ready”. This is crazy. So long to common etiquette. I will not be...
