I usually have an excellent, feel-good experience every time I visit. Not today. As the young woman was packing up my order, some white middle-aged white man stormed up to the counter, interrupted our conversation and demanded help. He did not ask; he demanded. She told him that she was with a customer (me), to which he responded that there 'were so many people (only three - two employees and a trainee) on the floor that someone should be able to help now'. The trainee told him that she is just a trainee. AND instead of telling this rude, entitled person that she'll get to him as soon as she's done with my order, or that the other employee who was ringing up her customer would help him when she finished, the employee who was helping me abruptly stopped, told me that the other employee who was busy with another customer would assist me, and went to help that man. After all that, he left the store without ordering anything and I don't know where she went after he left. The other employee apologized for the wait and rang up my order, but by then I didn't even want it. My receipt is stamped 1:52 pm, right now it is 4:06 pm and I haven't touched any of my chocolates. I should've treated myself another way. Next time I know not to...
Read moreOH MY! Where in heavens did I just take a right turn and land in Wonderland. I am a die hard Neuhaus fan. However I have found an alternative that uses the thinnest layer of chocolate coating to encase the best flavors of what you can locate inside. All in the size of a small eraser or something that can delicately slip under your tongue. I was coming back from my fave little incense shop and chanced upon this place. Decadence in glass cases is my view. I wanted to stay there all day. If it weren't for a dinner appt. I probably would have. My fave was probably the passionfruit one. The Dulce de Coco and Pina was a close 2nd. The Tahitian Vanilla was also heavenly. The mint was subtle and not synthetic. I can say that I bought 16 of them and have quietly consumed most but did choose to share with a few friends. They were VERY GOOD FRIENDS. I wouldn't waste this on someone who thought Hersheys was amazing if you get my drift. I can picture this as part of a bridal shower or baby shower gift. The place is immaculate and the people behind the counter seem very in tune with the product. A total plus. Definitely worth the price take of approx. $3.50 per piece. You don't need much, but you do need at least...
Read moreThis place was great! I got some chocolate for a friend of mine as a gift, and she loved it. Also, my experience at the store was wonderdul. The people that work there were so nice. The guy behind the counter was really patient with me. I had to ask if there were certain ingredients inside any of the chocolates, because there are a few ingredients I can't have. He was so patient, and also he was able to remember which ones did and didn't have those ingredients throughout their entire collection of chocolates. When I left, I was looking for my phone in my purse, wondering what corner it fell in. Then I heard someone calling for me, and when I turned around I saw a women, who must have been the manager, running after me. She told me I forgot my phone at the store, we were both walking back to the store, and the employee that had been helping me had stepped out of the store with my phone to give it to me. They were so great! Delicious sweets, and trustworthy and kind staff! I will definitely go back! 5 Stars...
