I have given this restaurant many chances, but each time I eat here I face utter disappointment. Here are reasons why: Staff is rude; Some Haitian restaurants really need to embrace the concept of customer service (coming from a Haitian man). Food is never ready on time. You can order, 30 minutes ahead of time by phone and arrive at the restaurant only to learn that you have to wait another 20 minutes before you get your food. FYI the restaurant is not busy, workers are just lazy, incompetent, or disorganized. The staff took 15 minutes to figure out who took my order and when it was placed. Stingy with the meat When you order a soup dish, or a legume (stew chayote and eggplant), you will be lucky to find more than one tiny morsel of meat. Taste The rice is usually good, but the meat dish never tastes good. I ordered stewed chicken (poul en sos) from this place, and the chicken tasted spoiled. Read moreDO NOT BOTHER. A friend recommended this restaurant about a year ago and I trusted their judgment blindly. I enjoyed the food, even though its grossly overpriced. The customer service is usually flat or just bad. Ok, there were a couple occasions where the service was decent. Never stellar, really good or great. I recommend Kreyole Flavor to a friend who asked me if i hated her lol. She then asked what I thought of the reviews. I had to admit, I never read them, so I did. They're pretty accurate. Unfortunately the quality of the food is not good anymore and the prices keep going up. So, bad service, highest prices in the area and now the food isn't as good. No good reason to go back. Oh and did I forget... 5 out of eight times, yes, I counted, the owner (the older miserable lady who sits at the register or off to the side) argues ruthlessly with patrons. The server/cashier really try her best to to make you feel like you’re nobody, and she’s doing you a favor. No smile, no greetings, no menu. You literally have to ask what’s on the menu for the day. Takes a long time to bring out the food. I mean, there’s nobody else in there but me. That light skin chick thinks she’s better than everyone who walks in there, and her attitude stinks. She makes you want to reciprocate that same nasty attitude because of the way she talk to you.
