This review is based on my own honest experience and specifically my experience with a woman by the last name bakarf or something to that regard , her first name I don't remember .. I resent spending my hard earned $650 for a chemical peel at this establishment . Though their are good reviews on here if you comb through you will see some not so pleasant reviews as well ..TAKE HEED AND DO NOT, DO NOT spend your hard working money here if customer service & how you are being treated and or spoken to is key . when i got here for my 10 am appointment , i was told i scheduled basically at a bad time and i would need to come back tomorrow at 9 am for the 2nd part ..which made no sense to me , if the appointment was not "good for you " refund me my money or send a courtesy email or text stating the issue.. but alas I am in brooklyn and already here so she tells me to just go over and sign the paperwork and she will get to me ..another woman who claimed she worked there as well had an appointment for 12 ....she basically said oops and was taken in before me , she could have and shouldve waited , regardless to whatever was being done .her appt was at 12...so .me coming from staten island and paying $650 naturally it rubbed me the wrong way , nonetheless I waited . Eventually I am taken in and i put my shoes off and my coat , she starts the peel & she asks me do you have nay questions about the chemical peel ? i ask her 1 or 2 questions ..both questions result in her saying ..did you read the paper i gave you ??its on the paper .. now prior to its also a little brisk so i take off my sweater and for MY comfort lay it across my feet.. bakarf looks at me disgruntled and says the bed is heated you dont have to do that theres no need for that .., for her satisfaction i remove my sweater ..she then says when i lay back down , yes the bed is heated but if you want to i guess you can put the sweater back on your feet .....now all the while she has the chemical peel mask already on my face .of course i am highly irritated but i have a whole chemical peel on my face . not about to go back and forth with someone who put a peel on my face and i signed a consent earlier on that in case "god forbid something goes wrong they are not responsible ".... the level of customer service is piss poor . and i highly regret coming here ..she had also chimed in that she" could have" cancelled the appointment because the timing was bad for her , i told her she should have and i would've been fine , she says to me " i dont do that "... the energy of this place is cold . she makes you feel like she's doing YOU a favor that she didnt want to when actually you are putting $ in her business and she needs the clients. day 2 of the chemical peel i said maybe 5 words like when asked if i used the cream that has to be used to moisture skin ,,i said yes , she suggested i use more ,i said "ok" ..etc. my appointment was at 9 traffic got me there at 9:15 , she did give me my time back and my appointment was not affected ..though i was mildly stressed & anxious it would be because when i called to let her know im running a little late she told me she MUST leave at 11 and this is a 2hr procedure ..maybe ..just maybe give clients a heads up that you MUST leave at 11am the following day before taking them in to do a service as invasive as a face chemical peel ?? which she didn't ...on a brighter note service was finished and i left i was called back in from already walking 3 blocks down , when i returned i got a complimentary kit that I am to use after the peel is completely removed .yay.. this service also comes with a post facial in which i will waive and do elsewhere .. also noted that reading others remarks i see it is chimed in that ppl should tell her problems vs write a review ..and its baffling that one would even have nerve to say . if your business is good, bad or horrid clients have a right to say so and help or warn the next person.. get used to it ...Prior to this experience i was really excited and looking...
Read moreI if can give this place a zero I would I had the worst experience there, first of all when I came in I said GoodMorning I’m here for my lashes appointment the lady in the front desk said okay sign the papers and in the middle of signing the papers I asked The front Desk Young lady about the lashes extension allergies about the redness itchy watery eyes because I have been seeing lashes extension allergic reaction online and I just didn’t want to get that because my birthday trip is in four days nobody want to be on their birthday trip with red, itchy and watery eyes so I had to ask questions to make sure and the front desk lady was answering my questions still I wasn’t sure she then made me talk to her “manager” when her manager came to the front I told her that I’m scared to get my lashes done because I don’t want to get leashes extension allergic reaction and my birthday trip is in 4 days and then I also told her how I saw lashes extensions allergic reaction on social media do you guys get that often she then reply back to me say well you need to contact who ever did their lashes in a rude sarcastic way and how I shouldn’t of just call before my appointment to find out more about it in a rude way I could of tell because of her face expressions and the ways she was just talking at this point I didn’t feel welcome whatsoever I wanted to cancel my appointment and just get my money back but I couldn’t because if you decided to cancel you will have to pay another deposit fee all over again and I was not doing that and also I was not wasting my money so I just end up doing a facial instead and doing my facial I felt so uncomfortable the lady just seem like she hated her job ughh omg never again going back there, the manager is so are so rude not customer service people whatsoever you feel uncomfortable and not welcome
I just don’t understand if you have a business you are suppose to treat your customers with respect make them feel comfortable, welcome and satisfied you should make your customers to want come back to your store but in this case it was not and you will never ever take my money again!!! You just lost a great customer and your probably just like ooh one customer doesn’t matter but hey each time new customers come to your store and you’re giving them rude attitude making them feel uncomfortable which you are, that’s going to be another customer you’re going to lose and not just that you are losing money also!!
*But whoever reading this I will not go there if I was you don’t spend your money there I’m telling you!! go somewhere you feel Welcome, comfortable and not having to deal with rude nasty manager like I did!!!
If your not a people person why open a business??? You need people for your business right?? You have to interact with customers right?? so do you thinking being rude to your customers and making them feel Uncomfortable is great for your business ??? you are just going to lose customers.
And the sad part is that this spa was right by my house and now I gotta find another spa, I love supporting black own business but this business I’m not supporting ❌

Read moreI'm surprised to see the low ratings truly because I feel like some people look for the bad with small black owned businesses. I've been to Vedette when they were at their old location and now go to their new location and every experience has been pleasant, professional, clean, relaxing and the results speak for themselves on my face lol. I know some people who have gone there as well and have nothing but good things to say. My first time there was because my best friend went and loved it so much that she bought me a voucher for my birthday.
In 2018 I broke out severely with hormonal acne and had hyperpigmentation. It came out of nowhere and I went to different dermatologists since then. Hormonal acne is hard to treat and the doctors prescribed harsh topical creams and suggested Accutane even though it has serious side effects but the second I started treatment at Vedette it cleared up, not to mention I’m getting married in April so I wanted my skin CLEAR for my wedding day and it finally is. I've done the Acne Laser Treatment, Fire & Ice Facial, LED Light therapy and the Hyrdafacial. All were bomb and showed results but the laser I have to say is my favorite especially with cystic acne, it targeted the bacteria deep under my skin and I haven't had a breakout since starting about a month ago. I’m extremely happy with my results, my skin hasn’t been this clear since before 2018.
In terms of the owner and staff, she’s very friendly and professional and so is her team. I’m excited for my results but she’s in shock every time I walk in when and she sees my skin, it’s great to see an owner who cares and is happy that her products and services are working for her customers.
