I always enjoy shopping at this particular store branch. I don't go too often; usually about 3 times a year or sometimes I'll make one eXtra store visit because my cousin (from down south) comes up for a visit and wants to come to the store and browse around for deals. Ironically, she's actually the one that turned me onto the DII Store.
I pick up my usual couple of bags of cotton balls for routine skin care maintenance and then I go to the men's clothes section if I need something like low-cut socks, shorts, t-shirts or the like.
They do carry clothes for all seasons, too, so you can get anything from swim wear, underwear, pajamas, hoodies, vests, to winter jackets, etc. They have you covered all year-round. The prices are always more than reasonable 👌🏿✌🏿 and you can get some good value from their items which I always appreciate. All the clothes are on hangers and the hangers themselves have these square color-coded pegs which denotes the sizes (S, M, L XL, 2XL, etc.) for easier shopping of the size you are looking for. Also, they are usually transparent by having "slight imperfection" stickers put on certain clothes which probably contributes to some of the lower pricing. However, whether they have the stickers or not, I always inspect all my clothing for looks, the fit, loose stitching or whatever to see if I am satisfied before buying. I haven't gone wrong with anything I bought (except for one pair of shorts I bought earlier this year which was a little tight because some companies run small and aren't true to size). The store used to have a fitting room years ago, but they got rid of it for whatever reason (I really HATED that‼️), so you have to take more time to see if something will fit you. But if you get home and it doesn't fit, you can just bring it back with the tags still intact and your receipt for a full refund (within 14 days I believe).
The checkout lines can be very short or sometimes very long depending on the time of day, I guess, but there's not too much of a wait time during the long lines as they usually have enough registers open for faster checkout efficiency.
They take CA$H plus debit & credits cards, BUT you have to spend a minimum of $10.00 dollars or more in order to use credit cards. They also have 5 different types of navy blue DII Store bags (made of that strong fabric which is reusable to cut down on bag waste) that you can optionally purchase which range from 25 cents to about 89 cents.
Overall, I give the establishment a 9 out of 10. VERY, VERY GOOD VALUE for...
Read moreI purchased an item on June 3rd for $14.99, and it literally fell apart after just one day of use. When I attempted to return it on June 14th, in line with the store’s 14‑day return policy, I was flatly told that I should have returned it the next day it broke. I asked, “So if it fails on day 11, that’s okay?” but received no satisfactory answer.
They also insisted, “This is a cheap store, items could break like that,” and declared the item non‑refundable, refusing even a store credit. I expressed my disappointment, but was told there was nothing they could do.
I stand by their 14‑day return policy and feel this was a clear case of a defective product - one not designed to last - not a matter of changing my mind. Getting no refund or credit after just one day of use is unacceptable.
I won’t be using their services again and caution others to think twice before purchasing...
Read moreChanging my rating from 5 to 2 stars... While this particular store is clean, organized, with great people working there, the prices are changing. While you might still be able to score on some things, be aware especially of toys, kids clothes, cleaning supplies to name a few. Our son got a duplo set today that was 22 dollars. Same set goes for 15 elsewhere. If you see a suspicious price, always check what the item really goes for. Otherwise not much of a deal. Many items are Dollar store quality with not-so- dollar tags. I still find good deals on party goods, snacks, tooth paste, soaps, deodorants, drinks to name a few. Some items are a bad batch, I purchased my regular store brand baby wipes there once and they caused everybody who used them to have an allergic reaction. Always check on exp dates...
