It was worth the trek. I’ve never been to Lisbon but I’ve never had egg tarts like these anywhere. There are some previous reviews that they are runny but I think they fixed their formula because the texture was perfect. I recommended getting the flavored ones. My favorites were caramel and yuzu. 4 is a lot for one person as they are very dense. I could only eat two and took the rest home. The raspberry matcha looks better than it tastes but they had some other interesting summer drink specials that I would like to try next time. The decor and vibe of the store is nice too. The custard is perfectly creamy with just the right touch of sweetness, the pastry is flaky and buttery, and they get that slightly caramelized top just right — exactly how it should be.
