If you’ve got a big appetite, MISC serves the largest Pad Thai I’ve ever seen in NYC, loaded with triple-cooked duck. When it hit the table, not only were we in awe, but so were the tables around us. It could easily feed a small village!

And here came the dessert—the sticky rice dessert got TWO generous scoops of coconut ice cream!?

The restaurant is small and cozy, with a dining area in the back that feels more intimate. It’s clearly a neighborhood favorite, as it filled up quickly during the dinner rush.

*Franklin Wings $13.95 I ate five fried wings all by myself. It was impossible to stop eating. Glazed in a sticky, caramelized peanut sesame sauce, they were incredibly tender, juicy, and SPICY.

*Duck Roti Wraps $12.95 Each wrap was filled with duck, veggies, cucumbers, wrapped in toasted warm roti. They were saucy and savory, though on the pricey side for just two wraps.

*Pad Thai with Triple Cooked Duck $30.95 If you have a normal appetite, this pad thai can easily stretch into two or three meals. They definitely didn’t hold back on the duck. The generous pieces completely covered the dish on a large plate. The duck was tender with a slight crisp on the skin. I also loved the flavor and texture of the noodle itself.

*Emerald Green Curry with Chicken $17.95 It might not have looked as insta-worthy as the other dishes, but my bf devoured the entire green curry in seconds. The thick, spicy and rich curry sauce was a literal ā€œrice thiefā€.

🄄 Coconut Sticky Rice $12.95 You can choose between coconut or green tea ice cream. The coconut flavor was quite mild imo. The sticky rice was served warm, with steam still rising from the cup (dig in before the ice cream melts!!). The contrast between the hot rice and cold ice cream was very enjoyable.

We also got Lychee Thai Tea ($7.95) and Purple Lemonade ($9). Just a note that their drinks are on the sweeter side, and sugar...

Placed an order for delivery and it took 2 and 1/2 hours to receive my food. After an hour had gone by I called the restaurant to inquire and was told by a woman who answered the phone that my order was already out for delivery and that they were kind of busy. At the 2-hour mark, I called the delivery service customer service line and then they called the restaurant and were informed that my order was out for delivery. They said it would be another 20 minutes until it arrived. I told the gentleman from the customer service line that if that was the case, then my food had been in transit for over an hour and a half and would obviously be cold by the time it got to me. He said he would put me on hold to ask the restaurant if they could give me any kind of discount for the delay, and came back and said their response was no.

I placed my order at 8:30 PM. The restaurant closes at 11. I spoke to someone at the restaurant at 9:30 who told me the order was already out for delivery. I spoke to someone from the delivery service's support team at 10:30, who at that time told me they had located the driver and that it would be another 20 minutes before I could receive my food.

The delivery finally showed up at 10:53pm, and the delivery guy then asked me for a tip (!) upon delivering, even though I had already given a tip through the delivery service when I placed the order.

Terrible.

All that being said, the food did arrive hot (surprisingly) and was tasty, which is why I am giving two stars.

I am literally a 10-minute walk from this restaurant, so I feel like they probably just made the food once customer service called them two hours in and then sent it out...

Went here for a quick bite to eat with a friend, we were here for less than 30 minutes. We got a drink, and a few appetizer’s. After we finish our meal, and paid our bill. We were getting harassed for a tip. The ladies at work at the restaurant were basically demanding us to tip them. We did not tip, because we only got a few things, and didn’t stay long. Two females keep harassing us to tip them, even though our waiter was a guy, and not one of the ladies that was pressuring us to tip them. One of the ladies came over to us and said if we don’t want to tip them we should have never sat at the table instead just order take out which I felt was very rude. Because upon arrival we were guided to the table, we never got an option to sit anywhere else. The ladies had a very nasty attitude, and kept watching us. It was not a welcoming atmosphere, and if you are just grabbing a quick bit to eat don’t go here they will harass you for a tip even if you order one thing. I felt the server was very money hungry, and would never go back here! 0 out of 10 would not recommend! Other people in the restaurant also tried to explain to the ladies that tipping is optional, but she was being very aggressive and not understandable. Please don’t go here they would not provide a...

Among the many restaurants along Franklin Ave, this neighborhood Thai spot stands out as better than most. On this visit, I ordered two lunch specials for takeout, each priced at $15.95 with chicken as the protein. The staff was cheerful and attentive, despite a sparse lunchtime crowd. They answered my questions and even accommodated my request to make the drunken noodles mild, something not listed on the menu or online ordering on their website. Each lunch special includes a simple salad and a choice of one side. I chose Drunken Noodles with Franklin Wings for one, and Emerald Green Curry with vegetable dumplings for the other. Despite being told both dishes had some spice, the flavors leaned noticeably sweet and could have used more heat. In hindsight, I would have left the drunken noodles at their default spice level. The wings, however, were tender, crispy, and worth having again. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood option. I’d like to come back and dine in next time to get a better sense of the dishes they offer.

I've been coming to this spot for a while and I've NEVER experienced the service I have until today. Food and drinks are always on point but when it came down to payment, the server literally threw my tip and stated "she didn't want it" 1. You don't know my budget to feel I should give u MORE than I gave. 2. Don't throw my money 3. I don't care how much the bill was, don't EXPECT people to just GIVE because they spent a certain amount. Now I don't know if she wanted to feel "big" because a white family came in and she felt my tip wasn't enough to try to make a scene but she wasn't getting a reaction out of me. I would say I WONT go back but I do like their food. If I see her, I'm definitely walking out tho! She's usually there on days I come on this side of town, so it's looking like I won't be returning! Thanks a lot for ruining my good experience!
