Los Almuerzos Mexicanos — Restaurant in New York

As a Mexican from California I love this place. We Mexicans from Cali always miss one thing when living in NY : authentic Mexican food and I’m so happy I found this place. I took a picture after I started eating oops. Anyway today is my second day in a row and last time I got several items delivered to my door. They were packaged neatly and delicious. I got many items because in case I didn’t like one thing I had another entree but I ended up liking everything. I had to come here the next day to try their food but in person. Great service and ambiance. I’ll look forward to trying...

Finally found a legit Mexican place around the hood. My mom is Mexican and throws down in the kitchen so it usually is difficult for me to like Mexican food outside the home. Went to Los Almuerzos Mexicanos to give mom a break from said kitchen. I had the tacos al pastor , shared guacamole and complimentary chips & salsa (made in house? you don't see that anymore!). Mom had a burrito de carnitas. The carnitas were on point. One star off because it was so hot and the a.c. was not on; I suppose so as not to waste energy as there was only one table there at that time. Wait staff...

ROBBERS! They added a $20 charge to my debit card. I order two tortas, and a large horchata. Total was $28 she charged me $31 because of debit card tax I said okay. Today I see the charge post to my account of $51!!!! I did not tip since I ordered for take out. The lady at the front with blonde hair had a very nasty attitude. I hope this was an mis understanding but as of now these people will try to steal your money by adding tips to your receipt. BE CAREFUL, CUIDADO PORQUE...
