Mely Nail salon — Local services in New York

Update: 2/27/24 not even a full week and a few nails are lifting! I can go 4 weeks at times with tips on before they start lifting. When tips are done properly this sort of issue doesn't occur. Only reason I am keeping it at 3 stars is because my pedi was done nicely and it's a decent pricing compared to other locations for jelly. If I did just my nails I would of lowered my rating.

Tonight was my 2nd time here 2/22/24. First time here was 2 yrs ago (review below). I was seen right away as it wasnt busy when I arrived. Tonight did a jelly gel spa pedi with Marie. She did a good job. I had jelly spa before and other places used a plastic bag to do pedi. Maybe that's why this jelly wasn't as thick as I have had it before. It was $45. I decided to do coffin tips after and Anna was my tech. At first I wanted marble and ombre as I never done that style before. I was taking my time looking at the colors and Anna must of said something to manager for her to show me I need one color for ombre. I didn't want a white ombre look but 2 shades of a nude. I decided to just do regular gel with a chrome finger. I did ask for a few nails to be fixed because the corners wasn't fully painted. Often times that's the problem I have at salons showing them where more is needed. That came out to $65. Total was $110 before giving tip.

Previous review: Today was my first time here. My tech was Sonya. Had to tell her to fix the shape many times. She filed them too much. The manager came over and I showed her how coffin looks when I get them done. Sonya removed 2 nails and re did them. It looks better than it did before but shapes are still off. The middle finger on my right hand nail is wider than it is on my left. It was $40 plus I left $5 tip. Decent price but needs...

Carmela is awesome. She takes her time to make sure my nails are perfect everytime. She has great designs on Instagram; she is very talented. The other women in the salon have done my pedicure and it's always been flawless. Prices are cost effective. I only have positive things to say about...
