Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in New York

I'm so happy with the owner and staff at Luigi's Pizzeria and here is why.... My mother is 86 years old 5'1 inches tall and has lived in Brighton Beach for over 40 years. Connie enjoyed going for pizza at Luigis with her grandkids or a friend. Well my mom has slowed down alot. She can't navagate to busy sidewalks on Brighton Beach as she use to by herself. Brighton Beach Ave is always so busy and our concern is she can get hurt with all the people traffic. I order her lunchs on the days that her home attendant has family matters of her own {of course they have family's also} LUIGI'S IS ON IT!!!! they understand to give her a moment to answer the door.... to supply her with utensils, napkins.... The delivery man makes sure she she makes it to her stairs safely as he waits for the door to her building to close and lock itself. Luigi's is part of this lovely womans village. My family and I are so grateful to Luigi's Pizzeria because not only is there LASAGNA amazing but there's customer service is SUPERIOR compaired to the other pizzaria's in the same neighborhood. I can't say enough good things about this place. I usually get the fresh mozzarella slice or the grandma slice. Both are excellent. Today my mom and I decided to get heroes. She got the eggplant parm and I got the meatball..

I ordered our food for pickup on The seamless app and it was ready at the exact time that I had specified it for. Walked in and it was waiting on top of the oven, being kept warm.

Luigi's uses fresh, hearty crusty Italian bread for their heroes. This isn't soggy supermarket bread. And both heroes were completely stuffed. And I've always been a big fan of their sauce. Just the right amount of garlic. Some would say too much garlic but not me!! 😋. Love love their sauce!

The meatballs were excellent too! The eggplant was nice and thin with just the right amount of breading. Not completely lost in the breading like some places do.

Anyway I could go on and on but I just wanted to say how more than satisfied I was with our food. ...

I have always loved this pizzeria which is why it saddens me to write this review. Last night I ordered a fresh mozzarella pie and even gave an $8 tip. When my wife had to pull a disgustingly long hair out her mouth we called to give them a chance to make things right. The individual who answered was extremely rude and said it was a hair from my head. Not only was the hair much longer than my wife's If it was a hair from my wife it would have been right on top not threaded into the cheese. See the pictures for yourself. After the terrible customer service we did not trust them to make another pizza for us and just wanted a refund. The rude manager said we had to contact seamless so we did. The nice representative at seamless contacted the pizzeria and said they refused the refund but they will refund it anyway. Thank goodness for seamless. Stay far away from this place they clearly don't value their long time...
