I have been going to this specific location for a year and a half and after my appointment today, I’ve decided to switch locations altogether. I usually see Natalie but after today, I am no longer comfortable going to her. Typically during my bikini wax appointments, we tend to talk about surface topics like the weather, upcoming vacations, etc. With it only being 15 minutes, there’s no reason for it to go any deeper than that. However, today she took it upon herself to ask me who I was voting for, which off the bat, I felt was wildly inappropriate, considering the setting. When I gave her my honest answer, she clearly disagreed and I felt her behavior following made the experience really awkward and uncomfortable. Not to mention usually at the end of the appointments when you go to cash out, she would come out and say bye, you know, simple pleasantries, but today she did not do so. I had already felt awkward about the entire interaction, but after she didn’t come out when I was paying like she usually would do it solidified that she had an issue with my answer to her question and my political beliefs. Which obviously we don’t need to agree, but I feel like if you are providing a service to someone and you usually behave in a certain way, you should maintain that same level of professionalism regardless of my political beliefs. Ultimately, the fact that she asked me in the first place, was out of line. It was not the time nor the place.

Very unhappy with this place! My girlfriend has been coming here consistently for about a year. Always arrives early, but ONE time was running only 10 mins late due to her Uber. She called out of courtesy to tell them she was running only TEN MINUTES BEHIND. She was told she would either have to reschedule for 2 hours later or cancel entirely and get charged 50% for cancellation !!!! Even though their website states they have a “5 minute grace period”.

I’m sorry but a 50% cancellation fee is RIDICULOUS. Especially since she is forced to wait 10-15 mins past her appointment time almost every single time she comes. They do not offer any compensation when she has to wait to be seen, yet they have the nerve to be unaccommodating for others. The girl on the phone had such a nasty attitude as well.

She does love her lady Reema and she does good work. It’s unfortunate that the rest of the establishment isn’t as courteous and professional as her.

My girlfriend will NOT be returning to a place that charges a high price of $70 and is not at all understanding of a tiny delay. Especially when they are located in a very populated and traffic-prone area of Astoria.

I went to this place to wax my arms which I’ve done myself in the past but I was being lazy and figured I’d try something new. BIG MISTAKE. The girl was very sweet but she did not know what she was doing. The amount of times my skin was being pulled and the wax was still on my arms was way too much. She kept blaming the wax and how it has a mind of its own but the pain was bad, imagine someone constantly just pulling your skin to remove something that was stuck. Regular wax never hurt and this was brutal. I was in there for over an hour having my skin pulled for something that usually takes ten minutes with regular waxing! The second arm a colleague came in to assist and she also wasn’t the best at it. There was wax on my arm and she kept pulling the same area to the point where I said can you just take it off?! You keep pulling the same section over five times, where she responds that’s what I’m trying to do. After over an hour I come home and I see my skin has pieces that were peeling and the next day I had bruises on my arms. You couldn’t pay me to go through that again.
