Marinello's Gourment Deli — Restaurant in New York

I remember when Marinello's was really Marinello's italian-owned this place went through so many different owners they remodel the establishment but the food is really not up to par not at high standards for the neighborhood the neighborhood is up and coming but the deli all of them in the neighborhood offer the same items and nothing really healthy .like grilled veggies grilled red peppers grilled asparagus grilled zucchini grilled eggplant grilled tomato grilled carrots semolina delicious succulent marinated juicy chicken cutlets cranberry chicken salad vegetable tuna salad ect ect ect no customer service DELI not clean the Mexican grill man was very rude / nasty with a Caucasian customer he thought that i was a white boy but I'm Puerto Rican half Italian and he really spoke dirty and said sexual comments to his companero / co worker I was disgusted nor mee my sister's or family spend our hard earned cash in that establishment Mexicans discriminating on Americans ...

Ordered a plain salami and swiss sandwich. I repeated the order three times. When the cook made the sandwich ge asked if i wanted mayo i told him no plain salami and swiss. He still ends up putting lettuce and tomato on it. My husband is allergic to tomato i told him to remake it he says he cut off the top part where the tomato touched....needless to say i paid for the sandwich but husband did was not going to eat it. The guy is rude and doesn't understand the word "plain" gets upset over me correcting the order and doesn't redo it knowing i told him my husband has a food allergy. I paid for it because my husband said just get it and go we can give it to a homeless person he hates food waste and knows they would have just tossed the sandwich.

Not worth coming back...

I was inspired by going to this deli after watching “You Are What You Eat” on Netflix. I had to try a few items on the menu. First it was a wait to take your order. That’s when I know the food is good because of the crowd. However the staff is very friendly and helpful. The lines moves very fast. I ordered the vegan chopped cheese and vegan bacon eggs and cheese on a roll. I took it home and I am so pleased with the flavor. Everything was delicious. I am now vegan.
