Max's Deli — Restaurant in New York

DONT EAT HERE! HAIR IN MY FOOD! I work for a school bus company. The company itself has ordered here for about 5 years. I'm new here so I've never ordered from here. My co workers and I ordered 4 different salads. 2 of the orders was messed up. 1. The chicken was so hard if I threw it at the wall I'm sure it would have hit me back. 2. THERE WAS A LONG STRAIGHT BLACK HAIR IN MY FOOD STUCK ON A PIECE OF LETTUCE. 3. I waited ONE WHOLE HOUR for delivery when the store is 5 minutes away. I called and calmly asked for a manager to request a new salad be delivered and they can take back the hairy salad. Instead the "manager" says "since you have a problem with our food I'll give you the money back just give me all FOUR of the salads back." ( mind you I said only 2 salads were not edible, the other 2 salads were already being eaten) After being called a scammer and a liar I decided to drive down there with the infectious salads, since nothing was getting done over the phone. After I arrived the "manager" was still rude and disrespectful and refused to apologize or replace my salad. "There are no woman in my kitchen, how can there be hair in your food." Was the response I received instead. My job spends hundreds of dollars a week ordering from this restaurant for the last 5 years. Completely and totally unacceptable! DONT EAT HERE! Ps. I did get my money back...

I was going to order a sandwich for me and my brother my little brother wasn’t even done ordering and the guy hanged up I called back to finish ordering but when he answered the phone he answered like nothing I told him why did he hanged up we weren’t down ordering because we were going to also order something for a family member he got mad and started yelling I yelled back because if you owe a restaurant u gotta know how to talk to a customer how to reply to the customer he had told me that “ he had another customer” then he told me “ ok ok then come down and order” I work at a restaurant I always answer the phone with a good tone I don’t yell to anyone I show respect to the customers. DONT WASTE MONEY IN A PLACE LIKE THIS WITH PEOPLE WITH NO PATIENCE INSTEAD GO TO THE ONE IN LIBERTY THEY GOT BETTER SERVICE NEVER HAD TO GIVE IN ONE COMPLAINT!!!!! DONT GO HERE !!!! I was very excited to try this place out I love Mexican food and I was really craving it I got a tostada de carnitas. It was very disappointing because the sour cream taste rancid!!! When I walked in there was 4 guys drinking in the deli and no one upfront so I asked the cook if I could see the menu please to which he looked at me and gave me the menu with an attitude. Then the lady comes to the front speaking to me with an attitude asking what I want I told her my order she then tells me ok do you have time to wait because I’m not rushing the cook . If you can’t work in the customer service industry maybe look for a new job? Then I waited 30 minutes for my food just to come back to work and take the first bite and the sour cream is rancid. I can’t even take it off because it’s all over the tostada ! Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want food poisoning or to get treated with...
