Mi Estrella Bakery — Restaurant in New York

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS, THEY ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DONT CARE TO SATISTY CUSTOMERS. I ordered a cake for my mothers birthday, and specified that I wanted stawberry filling, the lady who took my order stated that I had to pay an additional fee, which I did. I specified that I had family members that held nut allergies, so it was imperative that they make sure no nuts were present, which is why I paid an extra fee for a fruit filling. Once we cut the cake, to our dismay, we found that the cake was a walnut filling. This was extremely reckless and I could’ve ended bad. I reached out to the bakery to discuss this and ask for my money back, as they could’ve been held liable for someone having an allergic reaction, but they were unresponsive. For the price I paid, I would’ve expected what I asked for, but this establishment shows no remorse for making customers orders wrong. This cake was supposed to be special as it was my mothers 61st birthday, but they ruined it by giving a cake that I did not order. Looking through other reviews, this seems to be a pattern so I suggest no one order...

I don’t recommend this place to anybody. I ordered a cake with this spot, mind you I had an order that cost me over $100. When I received my cake and opened it at home I was disappointed. I couldn’t do anything at that point because this cake was done for an event. My cake was not the flavor I asked for, they had used a previous old cake which is very unsanitary and disgusting. I knew my cake was just mixed together from old cakes and when I made a compliant, they did nothing. Don’t waste your money this place clearly profits on being unsanitary and takes old cakes to make your cake, they stack it together put icing and will overcharge you. Never will I buy from here. This Bakery is one of my favorite places.... They make an amazing tres leches cake and I get most of my case if not all of them from this place my family and friends always ask me to get them cakes from here. I have send them numerous new customers that have taste their cake and fall in love with it, just like I did. If you are looking for a delicious, soft and creamy tres leches or even a quadruple leches cake this is the place. And their customers service is amazing.... they made a super special cake for our wedding everyone gave us compliments on how tasty the cake was. Muchas gracias por un trabajo excepcional...
