We came on a Saturday, mid-afternoon, five people. First thing we tried to order, a soup called the Patasca (which it says is only available on Saturdays and Sundays) was not available. Two people in our party ordered the Parillada, and they came back to tell us that half of the items were unavailable. They wanted to change the order completely but we suggested they add more of what they do have instead, they agreed. I wanted to order the skirt steak with two sides, but instead of one of the sides (each one is $6 on their own) I wanted them to add the shrimp to my order (which they charge an additional $5 for when you order the steak). They refused. It was saving them $1 which isn’t the point, but it wouldn’t cost them anything to make the substitution, they couldn’t explain why they couldn’t do it. The parihuela, for $28?!! The bowl was the same size as the $8 soups. I understand there’s seafood in it, but that much for a medium size bowl of soup? I’ve never seen anything like it. The yuca a la huancaina was almost raw, it was so hard not boiled through at all and it came cold. The rest of the food was good, but not memorable. We had to ask for our water to be refilled. We also had dessert and one of them was not available. Some of the issues I understand is not the staff’s fault, but it just shows poor planning and management. How are you out of meat from a popular dish mid-day Saturday? Not to mention the other things they didn’t have. They also added a large party charge to our bill (for a group of 5?!) which was not mentioned anywhere beforehand. They said it’s just service charge, 20%, since when do we automatically charge 20% tip on a group of five without mentioning it on the menu or anywhere beforehand? Anyway we did not have a positive experience. I’m glad the other people in the reviews did

Deceptive Service Alert!!! – Unethical Charges & Poor Customer Care!!! Firstly, the restaurant applied a "large party fee" of 20% to our bill without any prior notice or explanation. We later discovered that this fee was essentially a hidden gratuity charge, already included in the bill. Shockingly, despite this misleading inclusion, the waiter and manager allowed an additional 20% tip to be taken from us. Yes, you read that right – we were charged 40% in tips! What's worse is that when we reached out to the restaurant to discuss this matter, the customer service was appallingly rude and uncooperative. They not only disregarded our concerns but also flat-out refused to refund the extra 20% tip that was wrongly taken from us. This level of disrespect and unethical behavior is completely unacceptable. I urge all potential customers to be cautious when considering dining at this establishment. The lack of transparency in their billing practices and the audacity to take advantage of unsuspecting customers is appalling. No one should have to endure such an unpleasant experience after what should have been an enjoyable meal.

stunner of a Peruvian spot. hard to find a good spot in general for this type of food but everything really shown brightly. had the lomo saltado which was tender and delicious with their green sauce, also have the leche del tigre which was a hit, and the paella which was the mariscos and that rice was tanto flavorful and delicioso, and also the mango and pineapple smoothies separately, the pineapple was incredibly surprising and so tasty , definitely get it with the milk. also had the papas la hauciana also good. definitely going to come back and highly recommend. The only thing I would improve is the green sauce which can be less spicy and more more. rich, but still a total banger all around. oh I forgot. I also have the empanadas of all three types and the best was the lomo and service was also amazing and friendly, didn't have room for the dessert but we'll have the alfajores and tres leches last night next time

We were pleasantly greeted and welcomed. Being Peruvian, I caught a whiff of Peru in the air. The decor was rich with foliage. You felt like you were in a different place which was really nice.

The chicha morada was delicious- not bitter and not too sugary. We ordered the ceviche clásico, tres papas platter and anticuchos. Not impressed with papas platter except for the ocopa - green sauce. The ceviche has excellent white fish but need the lime to be a little fresh as it was not as tart as should be. The anticuchos were delicious! Either they let it really marinate to make the beef heart more tender or my husband thinks it was actual beef not the heart beef. It was delicious either way.

The lomo saltado had good flavor but the meat could have been a little bit more tender and appeared to not have much flavor but the rest of the dish had the flavor. The Anticuchos de pescado were delicious and with its onion salsa - delicious! Our other guest had tallarines a la huancaina. Guest said it was just okay. Since the tres papas had one with huancaina which needed more flavor it’s not surprising that this was just okay. It came with skirt steak that needed more flavoring.

We ordered a arroz Chaufa to go and that was very tasty.

Service was excellent. Would we go again? Maybe just to see if it...
