Wanted soup on the first cold day of the season, so decided to order from south slope ramen. Grubhub said that the food was ready for pickup so me, my girlfriend, and my dog went to go pick it up. I was a bit confused upon approaching the restaurant at first because four to five delivery drivers were waiting outside. I entered the restaurant only to be told that the order was not actually ready for pickup and I would need to wait 5 to 10 more minutes and that I would have to wait outside. Again, it was the first very cold day of the season. So after waiting the said amount of time, the food was still not ready and more pick up customers were coming only to have to wait outside in the cold. After waiting a total of 25 minutes after the order was said to have been ready for pickup, we decided to contact grubhub to cancel the order and get a refund. Grubhub contacted the restaurant and someone at the restaurant told grubhub that the order was already picked up- a bold face lie. After learning this, I decided that I had to write this review. I believe this restaurant sets their orders as “ready” even though they are not to get a better rating by the apps on their estimated delivery times. There’s no other reason for ten different orders to be waiting outside in the cold for their food to be ready. This comes at the expense of their customers and delivery drivers who have to wait outside in the cold for food that was supposed to be ready. If food is not ready, do not tell people that it’s ready. In addition, the worker at the restaurant, a tall lanky man with a Yankees cap, who was handling these orders was extremely rude. Never pick up food from here and if you order delivery be prepared to wait longer than the...
Read moreAfter moving to the area recently, I wanted nothing more than to love this place. The disappointing experience comes down to the 45+ minute wait after ordering my food. The wait time was all the more unpleasant due to the large number of doordashers waiting for their order pickups soliciting and hovering over the patrons seated for dine in. I'm probably one of the most understanding individuals when it comes to busy restaurants and longer wait times. But when one of the servers finally came back over after over 30 minutes to tell me they will be starting my order then, just for it to come out a few minutes later. I just thought to myself that the 30+ minute wait prior was completely avoidable. The restaurant could've easily been mistaken for a bar due to the number of people standing inside and outside waiting for their orders to be fulfiled. The lack of crowd control and a proper system makes for a truly unpleasant dine in experience. The underwhelming decor and ambience compared to other ramen bars at similar price points just added to my forgetable experience here at south slope ramen. Avoid if you could, especially with numerous other options...
Read moreYou would think for their prices, that it would be equal to or larger portions to places of comparative value.
Honestly, this charged me $5 for a slice of Cheesecake. The slice I got looked like half of a half and it was a complete disrespect for them to call this a serving at all. I uploaded the picture next to a gift card for comparison of how small that slice was. Be ashamed of advertising something like this, because it was incredibly disrepectful to see something so small when your presentation in pictures is significantly misleading. I have screenshots from UberEats also to prove how misleading this is.
If you can't afford to provide decent portions, take it off the menu, or decrease the price. Completely offensive to...
