Park Slope Community Church — Attraction in New York

Just wow. The world needs more places of worship like this church. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. Truly, God's presence is felt here: through the church team and their warmth, kindness, genuine interest in individuals; through the engaging sermons based in Biblical truths, through the wonderful, moving worship team and their music, and through the church's desire to impact and work to serve the needs of the surrounding community - giving of themselves as Jesus would do. The atmosphere radiates God's love and compassion. I love that there are tangible ways to get involved beyond the Sunday service. I love that the church body/family is diverse - all backgrounds and ages and walks of life. I love this church so much and would love to see more people experience God's love in action....in this complicated, disillusioned and messy world we live in, we desperately need God's love and the message of redemption and salvation and forgiveness. Informal modern worship experience in a beautiful historic church building. The congregation is international, multiculteral and diverse, comprised of mostly 20 and 30 somethings. Sunday school for children. Welcoming to newcomers like me. The pastor is young and enthusiastic about preaching the gospel, reading the scriptures and applying God's Word to your life. Highly recommend. Currently meeting in person inside, with coffee and bagels outside afterward. You can also stream the Sunday morning service online from their website....

Authentic, Genuine & Caring leadership and congregation with solid biblical teaching of scripture combined with compassionate application of the Word of God to our "neighbors", the community around the church. They model brotherly love, rather than commanding it. We were visiting for a friend's baptism, but we would join this church if we moved to Brooklyn.
