Best homemade pies I’ve ever had. All the pies are baked from scratch in house! The owners of this shop are extremely kind, and it’s clear that this establishment is founded upon a passion for desserts. There isn’t another shop or bakery chain like it at all. The shop has a crafty look, playing off the red-white-and-blue color scheme, a theme which I find charming given the name of the shop, Miss American Pie. If it were not for the current state of affairs, I could see myself enjoying a day here like I would a coffee shop with a laptop or a good book. The ambience is nice, the pies are an absolute treat, and the company is lovely.
If you love pie in particular, in this area of Brooklyn there are actually very little options for authentic pie. It is hard to find pie that isn’t chain produced, store bought, or overly dusted in powdered sugar. Not only is the pie from this shop delicious, the quality of the food is exceptional and truly captures the essence and talent of real American baking/dessert making.
Local or tourist, if you want a wholesome bite of true American comfort food, you need to visit this place at least once.

Read moreI ate here with my family earlier today as a pre-dinner snack. We were hungry and needed something small, quick, and sweet that would hold us off until dinner. Admittedly, I am not much of a pie person and usually decline pies when I am offered. However, these pies were absolutely amazing. I shared the double chocolate pecan pie with ice cream with my mother (highly recommend), and my father and sister shared the signature pie which was a fruit pie. The pies were about $7 a piece and we also ordered two teas for I think $3 a piece (I may be a few dollars off). Anyways, it was an overall lovely treat. The inside is 60s diner themed and the workers were so sweet. Our server kept on checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and best of all, he shared some very cringey (but still funny) dad jokes. Unfortunately, I don't live in NYC and will not be able to eat here as often as I would like to, but I fully recommend this place to anyone that has the opportunity...
Read moreBest biscuit I've had outside of Georgia, and that's not even the best thing they make. In a part of Brooklyn with lots of great pie shops, their pies truly stand out. It's always hard to pick just one slice because they are all so good. Bring a friend or two and get a bunch of slices so you can try a few. Their Signature Pie, Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie (seasonal), and ANY of their fruit pies are my favorites. Bring a whole pie if you're going to someone's house for dinner if you really want to get something you'll be remembered for. Be sure to order holiday pies well ahead of time. There's usually a line down the block on the days leading up to Thanksgiving. They even have great gluten-free options. Their bacon, egg and cheese on a cheddar biscuit is a decadent...
