Decent massage location with pros and cons.
Stopped by for foot massage after long day of walking for my birthday.
Pros Great massage. The therapists were super kind and very nice. Pride is great and even better cash! Clean and comfortable
Cons Constant chatter ( maybe it was toward end of the day ) The front desk Asian girl
The day I went only the front desk girl spoke English. No one else spoke much English. I decided not to speak Chinese since I just wants to sleep but the constant chatter kept me awake.
The desk girl was polite in general but in Chinese she kept complaining and she was very immature. Complaining about customers and how they didnāt smile or how they responded. The therapist kept telling her itās not that bad and she should just let it go. She also kept playing classical versions of hip hop or popular songs which go a bit annoying cause it was too poppy.
There was 2 incidences where the music got louder and louder and louder and one of the massage had to run from the back to front desk then shut it off. They would change it to normal massage music then she would change it louder to non massage.
Also the translation was bad too and cause problem with massage therapist and clients. One guy came in and got the combo. The therapist said they can do feet first then back, the client didnāt care which, the translator said something about doing shoulder first. It was a mess.
I wanted the combo as well but I ended up only getting the foot massage. She told me she told the massage therapist but the therapist must have got it mixed up.
Overall, therapists are amazing and place is clean. Constant chatter between everyone needs to be lower and music was off and distracting/disruptive. If not for that I would give 4 stars. I do want to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I start with this place? I received the most mid 90 min foot massage that could barely be called a massage. It was lazy and did absolutely nothing. Thatās not the biggest issue yet.
Nicki, I believe is the name of this female masseuse. She was the most disgusting person Iāve yet to meet and she wasnāt even the person who massaged me. I overheard her talking about this customer she had just finished the session with. She was gossiping with the front desk and other masseuses right in front of everyone assuming no one could understand. Nearly verbatim ā she smells terrible, the smell of sweat marinated with heat and 200+ pounds of fat. She smells like a dead corpseā
I couldnāt believe what I was hearing.
Before this another staff asked why the customer was taking so long to come out. Nicki replied, āSheāll be lucky if she can make it outā. Iām assuming sheās implying her age and weight.
Then the sweetest older lady came out and she had nothing but praises for Nicki. She kept saying how wonderful the massage was. I was sick witnessing all of this happening during whatās supposed to be a relaxing afternoon
During which she called the customer āa dead corpseā one of the staff seemed like he was trying to redirect/ ease up the conversation by saying āthatās normal most people smell a little after a warm massageā she double down and kept going on and on about how itās only her and that smell is so distinct.
Finally, I purchased a Groupon beforehand. They insist thereās a service fee and it includes the tip. Basically made up policies since itās not written on Groupon. I will be reporting this to Groupon.
Iāve never hated to be in a space as much as this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to like this place so badly. Itās new to the neighborhood and reasonably priced, but it let me down in every single way. I got there at 10 AM for my appointment. Apparently only the receptionist speaks English, which is fine, except she was late. The check in process was chaos because no one could communicate. The massages take place in the basement - also fine, except it was freezing and smelly down there. The only thing separating you and everyone else who gets massaged is a thin white sheet, which means you can hear EVERYTHING. My masseuse was straight up having conversations with the other masseuses during my appointment. Not relaxing AT ALL. The massage itself was - rough - I tried to communicate that I needed less pressure to my masseuse- but again - no English. Shockingly, there was no conversation about my specific body or needs. No one asked if I had injuries or problem areas. Some of it was actually painful. She also kept having to run in and out of our bay for towels because she used the most massage oil Iāve ever experienced, I felt like a turkey being basted. Not to mention the oil was ICE COLD. And finally - the only bathroom is in the basement and the traffic from that and the stairs made it impossible to relax. The whole experience was stress from start to finish. Itās a reasonable price, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Iām really sad because it seemed promising, but there was zero attention to the individual client or to detail in general. Sadly, I wouldnāt recommend spending your money here. Youāre better off walking 15 minutes to Melt...
